Never heard of mint ratio before, but the general idea of pair trading is you have an idea of what stock is better than another. So let's use Nvidia and AMD since they're popular. Most people would agree hands down nvidia is better, so you would go long nvidia with 50% of your position size and short AMD with 50% of your position size

No matter what the overall market does you should end up making money IF Nvidia outperforms AMD like you thought it would

Mint ratio is just gold/silver. I understand that it's 50:50, but it's the scale of it I'm not sure how to do yet. Like the short leg pays the long leg - but do I short $100? $500? $10,000? It depends on how fast they swing.
If they both rally or fall, you should be even, if they both move in your favor, you make money, if they both move against you, you lose money. I guess you'd still use normal TA to find support/resistance levels, but then it should be a market neutral strategy anyways

I'm not saying things are guaranteed but looking at the history and remembering each time shorts get too big in this market someone hits the pump signal unless literally the weather itself says it must go down (Natural Gas) makes me think unless Saudis are getting billions of dollars in kickbacks from the US government there isn't any reason OPEC+ is going to throw shorters a bone since the Saudis seem to dislike them.

I'm not saying go all in, take out a loan, sell your sperm and blood, but there's a strong possibility they won't let shorters and speculators tank their country's only real asset when they have the ability to pump it hard.

There was an article which said that chinks retails don't trust their stock markets since Xi put a capped price on houses/flats. Literally the population of china doesn't trust themselves anymore, knowing that, either companies are lying, or Xi could just step in and fuck you over. how fucking ironic is that?
Don't forget that a famous talk show got cancelled recently for a "joke" about the PLA, which led to a lot of frustration among chinks.

Unrelated, could someone explain me the price action in PM yesterday? why was everything so massively up to just then crash during open hours? I didn't understand this shit at all

Richfags have a life outside work because they can afford adult daycare and micky mouse jobs.
Smart people get some job that lets you have a life while working it and in immediate hours before and after.

Dumbfags work those shitty jobs that literally kill any life you can have and force you to lose not only work hours to the job but also your free hours. Think some assembly line worker that is on camera 10 hours a day 6 days a week, and loses hours to commute and cannot even do anything before a shower and change of clothes after work.
And unlucky poorfags that have no choice and also have to make do with wageslaving and what little hours free goes to just secure bare existence.

And then theres the work from home fags and the neet.
always at home, always comfortable in the comfort zone, until its too old and age shits on them. To lazy to take a shower, dress up and go socialize or check up on old friends or to chase some skirt.

All capital is only as valuable as the hands that wield it. Grab a pencil are you Walt Disney? Sit in front of a chess board are you Bobby Fischer? Get yourself some cranes and loading docks are you Henry Ford? All I'm saying is those guys were extra right about things and a cut above the rest, that's why their capital had value. yes i think it is. advancement is always in line with the times. its also not so much about tech but more about you. are you able to pick the winners. there will always be the winners and the losers and a sea of mediocrity. you need to have a degree of faith or will as well. those people you mentioned reached that point through an unshakable belief in themselves, sure there are other factors like luck etc, but for the most part a person does not reach the top without thinking it is possible and trying relentlessly.
tech just seems like a no brainer to me as it appears to be mans future and advancement.

No the biggest disaster we're facing right now is the large amounts of micro-plastics the jews are putting into everything to turn the children gay. I was thinking of reaching out to the dodgers to see if we can get an anti-jewish group to do some community outreach on the field to warn the public about the Jews and their plans to turn everyone gay. If they'll let a group of anti-catholic trannys on the field surely they'll let an anti-jewish group out there. It's only fair, right?
