Independent of any hypothetical plans to "get rid of cash", this is the sort of thing someone would put up if everyone was freaking out and they wanted people to remain calm. The notice itself isn't a bad thing, they'd put it up regardless of whether were freaking out over something real or over something imagined, where it's obvious that it's a freakout.

I transferred my step bro some money.
a paltry 2k
The bank is currently auditing him for it.
They can literally check the chain of transactions and they're auditing.

You're literally better off keeping cash under your mattress than trusting it to a """bank""" these days. And with crypto letting you be your own bank, it's not even hard. Keep a month's worth of cash at home, the rest in crypto, and cash out bits when you need more cash, send to bank, withdraw as soon as you can, minimize exposure to the fiat system.

It literally is not your money.

When you deposit into a bank, it is no longer yours, it is legally owned by the bank. You are merely a creditor, and not an important one either.

Fucking why? Seriously you made a paper trail and now he's probably going to have to pay taxes on it, especially now that they're auditing it. Meanwhile you could have just withdrawn that amount in a week or two through atms, or all at once by calling ahead and saying you're going to the casino, and just handed it to him. And he could have spent it directly, so nobody would have known he got it from you and he would have had ZERO chance of getting taxed on it (other than sales/VAT taxes).

Why the fuck are people so scared of cash? I bought a car (this was years ago) from a guy and him and his wife just about lost their minds when I offered cash, then they wanted a bank transfer, then that was going slow so they wanted a check, but too late they had to wait for the bank transfer because they were fucking pussies who didn't want to get paid in like an hour, they wanted it to take a week.

I fucking hate cowards. Just use cash and crypto you pussy fucks.

I use cash for 99% of my transactions. It only took listening to some bankers and politicians complaining about not knowing who is buying what and why to get me there.

>> No.55076120

>>55076038
Can't spend direct, was for fees.
Would've needed ten days to make ten £200 withdrawals or a visit to the bank to explain what i needed it for.
The funny thing is that i've transferred way more before and they didn't blink an eye.

Then you should have just said you were going gambling. Nobody blinks when you tell them you're going gambling, or to a theme park, or whatever. Just lie.

I'm not an idiot, i know how to get money out, i'm just lazy.
And someone else suffers.
Jokes on them now.
I take everything out that isn't being used to pay something.

You know that's not how it works. If they already refused to give you the money until you do what they say, you closing the account just means they'll give it over to the government to control until the government investigates and absolves them of all legal culpability for your future spending (which will probably take forever if it ever happens).

If you're going to be belligerent with register monkeys like that, I'd advise you to get a lawyer first.
