Min maxxing may result in more gains and for sure more stress. If we truly has seen the 8 year cycle low just go long while controlling the risk. Thats why i like andys approach. Only buy things you want to hold for atleast 3 - 5 years. Find the conviction and base the allocation around that.

I owned shares of a natgas company with a major green hydrogen project in their portfolio but I don't own that right now. Chariot oil & gas. They focus on their offshore natgas project but they also have a whole pipeline of Africa-focused solar and wind projects. I will maybe buy shares again once Anchois has finally been financed and begins build stage.

Not only is all of the factual information readily available through the companies financial reports but you also won't won't risk misinforming yourself since a large portion of the time these type of bot written articles fill in with outdated info or mistakenly make their comparisons with a sector that the company isn't part of.

I'm worried because I know there's another anon in here who had a good chunk in it. I've been saying since late January early Feb that something smelled.

Whats my guy telling me now? Buy silver.

Yeah I've been ringing the bell on them for about three months now once I saw their CFO got fired and sued them.

I called the financial company the cfo Grant Tanaka worked for before santa cruz, the actual cfo in question and they told me he was a stand up guy. I looked at the lawsuit and saw he was only suing him for his salary. The company fired him for "tax fraud" and my judgement was that he wasn't making a frivolous lawsuit and the company might be trying to slander him for their bad Financials.

That's what told me something smelled. Then the delay in reporting just got worse in worse.

The company had about at least 60 million due in CURRENT liabilities as in due within the next year and I just don't see any way they can pay it.

Gold ventures didn't bring up one time the issues going on with Santa cruz. Just like he didn't even know Klondike lost their mining license until two weeks after the fact.

He does no research other than initial positioning. He only looks for the smallest marketcaps possible with the best story and then buys in the hopes to dump later. He's good for screening, as in if you were looking for good starting points to research but relying on him in any way is foolish.

I love that people are calling for his head on twitter now lol. They're blaming him for their loss when any basic awareness would have told you something was up. These are people who bought on no research just because he shilled it and now they're looking for someone to blame.

>The sand market is so tight Oestmann said, because fewer people have been working in the mines and there has been a shortage of truck drivers. He said his company is looking to bring sand in by rail, a sourcing method that fell out of fashion following the advent of local mines a few years ago.

>"The railed sand depots were busy," said Richard Spears, vice president of oilfield consultancy Spears & Associates, of a recent trip to west Texas. "When that source is kicking in at high volume, and the local mine is full out, you know you've got a challenge."

>Much of the sand being railed in is coming from Wisconsin, according to Rystad.

the problem as I understand it is the fees, it kills your gains if you constantly buy and then sell just to catch a dividend. So what happens is they end up investing $300k instead of $56k to avoid entering and exiting the market over and over.

also they live in Oklahoma where $2k a month lets you own serfs and acreage. Either way, pretty cheap method to get retired fast.

The point is just returning profits to shareholders. They can either divvy it out or buy back shares which will then (in theory) make your shares go up in value by the same amount. Buy backs have become more popular over time as it's more tax efficient as you usually only pay tax when you sell, while you have to pay tax on the divvy. I think they added a small stock buy back tax in the US recently though, like 1 or 2%.

Fuck Nikola.
Anyone who doesn't know, their electric truck concept that they marketed as something going into production, was an empty truck shell they rolled down the hill to show it "driving" and fooled big corporations into throwing money at them.
Stay away from that mess, because who knows what kind of a scam they're pulling with hydrogen.

Plug power seems like an interesting play, but personally I'm looking at Bloom Energy.
Bloom demonstrated a working fuel cell in a cruise ship and all of these super heavy industries are going to be neck deep in hydrogen to decarbonize.
They seem to be a bit ahead of the game when it comes to these marine fuel cells.

Not to mention they will never allow mobile nuke plants to scoot around the planet by the tens of thousands, because that's a massive liability.

I don't like the company much but I last looked at it like a year ago so take with a grain of salt. ABRA, DSV, DV, ESK, ELO, GMTN, BLLG may be speculations worth keeping, personally I like DSV the most out of those and GMTN could end up doing really good but it's a make it or break it kind of company. ABRA/ELO interesting deposits but mind the jurisdiction. ESK/BLLG a bit hail mary explorecos. DV being courted by HL. GGD, HL, royalty companies are good. Idk anything about Endeavour Silver.

Again, what is your point? You're constantly (wrongly) talking like the entire bottom is going to fall out of the lithium market (it's not going to) while flashing your faggot-gains from market undulations.

Your thesis is wrong. You can be wrong and still make money. Be happy that is so.

Engaging in a discussion with you is fruitless because you are legitimately a retard. You have nothing of substance to say other than to parrot the same shit over and over again and try to brag about your gains.

If you were actually of a reasonable level of intelligence, you would be gloating about making money both shorting and taking long positions in the lithium sector.

The fact is that I have stated my theses over many sectors, most recently with natty and lithium, for which simple supply and demand profiles were and are grossly out of balance. But that's not convoluted enough for /CMMG, which relies more on narratives than by simple ratiocination.

Econometrics isn't economics.
I don't use many indicators that can be practically quantified. But it was easy to see that $9 natty wasn't going to be sustained simply by suppliers uncapping dormant wells. I personally observed dozens of workers from a non-O&G site suddenly getting calls for nat gas sites and fucking off because they were paying more. That told me that a shit ton of new supply would be online and that's exactly what happened.
As far as lithium is concerned, the spot price was an obvious function of supply constraints that would be ameleorated by increased production that was scheduled to come online in 2023. Again, that's what's happened. The price is a third of what it was six months ago. The opportunity here lies in the hype and promotion which is fueling the current lithium stock rally and is evidenced by the likes of Cramer and Drule. This is a late-stage baggage transaction to terminal retail sheep. The big money is cashing out and the money here is to be made by selling.

Facts on the ground haven't changed much since the days of heady optimism. All that's changed is your understanding of those facts.

If you want to feel awesome again just go back to believing your stock picks aren't marching slowly and steadily towards insolvency, and that you have discovered a hidden method of getting rich that everyone else is too stupid or corrupt to see. You might even go so far as to believe you're a genius while everyone else is an imbecile, and you surely deserve great wealth and power while they deserve to suffer under your just revenge for all the indignities and slights they heaped on you over the years when they were the majority and you were powerless. Osisko exceeded expectations with this Q1 earnings report. Expectations were C$58.2M revenue; C$0.13/s earnings. Results were C$59.6M revenue; C$0.18/s earnings. 38% earnings beat.

>“We had a good start to 2023 and expect growth in deliveries over the year as we reap the benefits of ramp-ups at some of our core assets, in addition to the anticipated near-term closing of the CSA transaction, positioning Osisko for another record year.

>The catalysts in our portfolio continue to intensify. Agnico Eagle’s consolidation of the Canadian Malartic mine provides multiple avenues for further production upside as it studies ways to maximize mill throughput. Further, the partnership between Gold Fields and Osisko Mining on the Windfall project is a tremendous outcome that de-risks an important asset in our portfolio. We congratulate the Osisko Mining team on a great result. More globally, our partners continue to unlock significant value across our shared asset base with an average of over 1.1 million meters drilled per year over the past six years. This value is daylighting itself across the entire portfolio highlighting the free upside embedded within our asset base.”

1) What is "making it"?
b) How many people "make it" in this line of work?

I played baseball for over a decade from tee ball thru high school. During college I was an umpire for like 4 years or so. All ages until the last year I was pressured to join the college circuit which would involve a lot of travel and being in the NCAA machine. Less than one person per 200k or more will ever play minor league ball for a MLB farm team.
If that's making it then you have a greater chance than if you consider making it signing a pro contract for millions of dollars. Even the greats have made it and pissed it away or got kiked out of it.
Such as
>Little richard
>Nicola Tesla

>all rich people own stocks, so if I own stocks I'll get rich
like saying if I buy a lambo I'll get rich. Not exactly how it usually works. It MIGHT work, but probably not.

in real life less fewer than 10% of enterpreneurs will be successful at the 3 year mark, and fewer than 3% will still be rich after 10 years.

investors have even worse stats over the short term. The ones that get rich usually spend 60 years doing it.

stats from millionaires paint a similar picture

in the US a millionaire has an average of 2.5 bankruptcies behind them, meaning they spent decades getting rich, and went broke over and over along the way. Even if an investor makes it big they'll almost certainly lose it all and have to start over. And over. And over.
the good ones get better each time. The ones that got lucky get washed out.

>The ones that got lucky get washed out.
this is important for both crypto and stocks

if a person is hoping for some incredible once-in-a-lifetime moonshot to make it, they'll very likely spend all that cash in a hurry and then need to find the next once-in-a-lifetime moonshot to stay rich. Most people don't pull this off. It's like playing the lottery to stay rich. Not a reliable business model. Even if you beat the odds, you probably can't repeat it.

Boomers that work for the post office and have a Roth IRA is in no way entrepreneurship.
>MIGHT work, but probably not.
Jack Andrews bought a section or something like that from a Rockefeller in St John. Bought a stupid meme car like that so everyone would think he was filthy rich. And it worked. I poured dyed and herringbone stamped concrete in his subdivision. So it does happen but so rare I'm glad to have met the guy and heard the story.
Tried to steal Kenny chesneys blue chair on that trip but that's another story.

That's my point. Entrepreneurial ability is about losing until you win. Most of my businesses I've owned lost money and I had to give up. But I've thrown so much shit at the wall, eventually something had to stick.

I'm saying what I've always said Bob. Invest in yourself. First, most, and always. Even if you lose you'll emerge a more knowledgeable person

those who can repeat it are called traders, and they pay something like 55% taxes on their gains. But they can indeed get rich if they're great at it. They can also go broke in a hurry.

They are trying to ease out of Nicaragua into Nevada. Their assets there kind of suck. Midway went out of business over Pan, and Calinre's development project inherited from Fiore would be high cost due to its strip. Calibre needs a new near-production asset in a good jurisdictiion to remain viable because Gold Rock is poor economically. Nicaragua is outside of my risk tolerance for miners, so I won't comment on it.

but as I said, investors that make it usually take 60 years to do it.

yep. It CAN work. It just usually doesn't. Much like investing over short time periods.
>I've thrown so much shit at the wall, eventually something had to stick.
exactly

for a lot of people itt this is their first ball of shit, and they should be aware it probably won't stick. Eventually they have to walk away and try something else if this doesn't work out for them. Or at least try other ideas while they're waiting for this to work out.

usually we have no idea what's going to make us rich, and it's not what we expected.

that boomer delivering mail probably never expected to get rich off buying a crappy house in the 80's. But at the end of the day that's just what happened. Nobody could've predicted it, most were surprised by it.

who knows what bad investment will make the next generations rich? I have no idea, but I doubt it'll be the one they're expecting.
