I recall reading a valid point that a study like the one you are quoting did not factor in the amount of "debt" the consumer pays off every year. For example, you can have an average "debt" of 1k throughout the year by spending 1k and subsequently paying it off once the statement arrives. Technically speaking, you have a 1k debt once that statement hits but you eliminate it by paying in full. I don't doubt many Americans carry monthly credit card debt not paid in full, but 7k seems like a lot. Interest would snowball out of control if you didn't pay that off ASAP.

This. It pisses me off so much when I see a group of young, usually cute, girls acting all jovial and shit. Why they fuck should they be happy? It’s insane. Don’t they know I’m miserable?

Legitimately don’t understand how people have so many car problems

Reminds me of how people piss and moan about healthcare like they’re made of glass and break the bones every day when they walk, then go to an ER. I genuinely don’t understand what these people are talking about

I’ve had nothing but accords and the only issue I’ve had is the alternator going out. No one in my family has issues with vehicle reliability either so I truly don’t get it. Also the meme old cars were better is objectively false. You can cry about aesthetics all you want but they look the same because the a b and c pillars have to conform to a design that survives rollovers better than the garbage from in the 60s

Nissan cvts blow up at <50k miles pretty regularly and total the car. My ex's blew it's third before 100k and nissan wouldn't cover it so it got scrapped.

I drive american 4x4 shitboxes because I can handle all the small stuff that goes wrong with them. An oil leak quickly becomes a new motor for the wrenchlet.

I have around 25k in available credit on 3 cards. I almost never carry more than a couple hundred dollars in balances at a time, most I've had at once was like 6k. I just pay the statement balance in full each month, unless you're a retarded spender I can't imagine how people rack up credit card debt.
Most of these cards (especially the Amazon one) have 0% or low apr options for financing big purchases. Just don't be retarded?

And that's the thing. If the average American is somewhat retarded, that means roughly half of Americans are even more retarded. Assuming it's a normal distribution of retardation of course.
