me personally I got a cityshit duplex in a historic neighborhood so the demand for trendy young people and medical workers is incredibly high. If i don't feel like living here anymore renting it will be incredible easy. I have had the second unit rented out literally the day I closed on it. it was 10x that price though. thing is, if I want to leave it will sustain itself with profit if I rent it, so I'm not that bothered by the cost.

I'm getting close to capitulating and accepting my fate as being chained to a mortgage for 30Y. This house sold for $180K in 2020. Peak estimate was $745K last year and is $599K now. It's "come down" a lot, except it's still up 3x over a 3 year period.
