All religion is literally just a way to cope with death, but it requires forcing other people to agree with you to reinforce that delusion to make it stronger. Christianity is literally no different than Greek and Roman mythology. I'm not even trying to be fucking edgy, it makes no sense.

The issue is that it leads to that community convinced their way is the only correct way, and their entire life and the way they see the world gets based around this. Fine if they want to stick to themselves, but that never happens, with anything. People should be taught at a young age about what death is, and that we go back to the earth and that the particles that make up our bodies get used in the circle of life. And that we shouldn't be afraid of it because we don't remember what it was like before we were born, so there's nothing to fear after we're gone.

You can teach someone to be at peace with the idea that everything is transient, and it's all the more reason to appreciate the moment to moment situations in life and treat others with kindness, not because you're expecting that your fucking good boy points will get you into a secret afterlife club, but BECAUSE of how life is short and suffering sucks, and so because we know this, we do our best to help others through it as comfortably as possible.

You don't need some god to tell you this, all you need is empathy for your fellow humans and all living things. It's common sense.

don't ever fully close your heart and mind to God. turn to Him on a dark day. He'll still be there, fren.
Jesus died and rose again. Bit different than Greek and Romans.

Everyone sins. We all deserve death for it. Or are you so clueless that you think you’re basically a good person? The point is gods son, god in human form died for everyone. He took the punishment that we all deserve.

but you *are* wrong, according to not just all the other religions, but the subsects of your own gay cult

you don't need to believe in hell to be a good person, just because you were scared into it just like millions of other people doesn't make any of them right

>> No.54610126

>>54607846 It’s not about scoring points for the afterlife which if you knew anything about Christianity you would know that’s not what they believe. Its about being like Christ makes the world better. Forgiving others, helping those in need. I have no idea why I’m even explaining this to a level 1 atheist though. I’ve never heard of any atheists groups running homeless shelters or helping humanity. I’d be curious if there are any.

Hell does not exist. It’s not biblical. Atheists might like this one. You get to choose. Existence with god for eternity or you cease to exist. The end. The death that atheists come to expect. All you have to do is repent though and change that. It can even be on your death bed like what happens to most atheists when they are dying. Begging and pleading for gods forgiveness. I suppose that might work out. But there will be a judgement day.

Athiests live sad, miserable, closed off lives and as much as they hate Christians they really can't explain their moral code beyond much more that, "like, uh, just let people do what they want if it doesn't affect you" and "respecting" every other religion or wook practice on the planet.

I feel as there is some kind of afterlife, some kind of god. And so on, absolutely EVERY CULTURE on earth, no matter where we live believes in such concepts, why though? How did it happen? There must be some kind of answer to it all. I am christian, but i don't have the need to hate others for having different religions, islam, judaism, and in some way hinduism has the same god. That's almost 75% of the world, and it will keep growing! I find peace, and comfort in the fact that almost everyone believes in something, that most believe in ONE god, and that this can be truly the answer. It really all boils down to who is truly the messiah. Also, buddhism is pretty awesome, not really a religion but more of a philosphy... I love all my religious frens here.

And to all the atheists here, perhaps check out some kind of religion! Maybe it can help you.
