well Dominic is a schizo. for someone like him it's more comfortable to imagine that he has enemies everywhere working in the shadows trying to sabotage him than to admit to the banal truth: he is not as smart as he thinks he is and his plans for ICP were found to all be hopelessly optimistic. someone like that can't handle honest criticism and they tend to freak out when a blunt/autistic person like Emin inevitably calls out their bullshit.
unfortunately Emin was too autistic to understand that it's always better to just ignore people like Dom and anyone else in that kind of deluded state because even the most helpful and honest criticism they will see as further evidence of a vast conspiracy against them. this forms a positive feedback loop where they go further and further into ideological isolation which is the classic mechanism of cult formation. BSV is a more obvious example of process. I consider ICP to be a few years behind BSV in this regard.
