All of them. There is nothing that cannot be built on the internet computer. And no Blockchain is truly decentralized without it since they are all running on AWS servers. ICP will replace the entire legacy IT tech stack.

Just snowflakes on the tip of the iceberg that is the behemoth known as the internet computer. ICP is a sleeping giant soon to awaken from it's slumber and be crowned king. For none even come close in comparison. All shall bend the knee to icp.

>> No.54468089

>>54467552
currently it's centralized because the servers that run it are all in on deals with dfinity for free money so they oblige with what they want. Ideally in the future there would be independent ICP providers running somewhere for more censorship resistance

>> No.54468123

>>54468075
How do you know that ICP will be the decentralized computing platform that gains mass adoption? What if some other company comes along with a better product before mass adoption?

>Just snowflakes on the tip of the iceberg that is the behemoth known as the internet computer. ICP is a sleeping giant soon to awaken from it's slumber and be crowned king. For none even come close in comparison. All shall bend the knee to icp.
Is this a blockchain or a cult?

>> No.54468176

>>54468123
There is not one single cryptocurrency that even comes close to the internet computer. It is state of the art tech. Could some other company come along? Sure, but they would be a decade behind and would need a team of some of the best cryptographers in the world, most of whom already work for dfinity's 100+ strong team. Aka, not a chance in hell.

>> Is this a cult?
Not at all. Very open minded. If you think there's a cryptocurrency that can even come close to competing with icp id love to hear about it. But I've been researching for over 5 years. I'm quite certain there are none. Nothing else even comes close. Everything is literal dinosaur tech in comparison. Icp is the next step in the evolution of cryptocurrency.

It actually isn't kek. No historical information is preserved past the most recent 5 minutes of the network's history. Nothing actually lives "on chain" on ICP and it's part of why storage is so cheap. It fills the niche of someone wanting a 7-13x replicated byzantine fault tolerant general purpose web hosting solution that doesn't care much about latency or high throughput or the fact that it's 100% permissioend by dfinity instead of bezos.

How does a 13x replication compare to chains like ETH, AVAX, or SOL?

>100% permissioend by dfinity instead of bezos.
Can they just remove/change whatever they want without anyone knowing? Or can they access data that was meant to be encrypted with some kind of admin backdoor?

If someone manages to build a better platform I will invest in it but at the time icp is the best. If someone can pull off an icp without a centralized authority basically controlling all of it and can walk the line with government compliance yeah I’d put all my money it.

List shithead, we can bring eth connectivity to the Ic using the VP of DEI’s master canister idea

This canister concept will solve the centralized authority. If two people have keys, they can move assets intercanister.

I'm an ICP cult member. I didn't realize I was in a cult until a friend of mine said that I behave like I'm in a cult. I want someone to FUD me out of this cult, but no one can do it. It's over. I'll either be rich or flat broke when ICP succeeds or fails.

>> No.54470390

Because the data merely passes through the chain format to enter canisters but is then persisted to memory by each node.
>>54468334
>Replication
In all three archival node stores the full history of the chain. ETH and AVAX store the full chain state but have pruning to eliminate defunct historical blocks. So data stored is replicated 6000+x for ETH and 1000+x for Avalanche and Solana. That data is stored FOREVER which is not the case with the IC. That together with node hardware being much much lower for ETH and AVAX, means on a per gb basis they are more expensive. Again though different properties. 13x replication is frankly insufficient for any valuable application where decentralization and redundancy actually matters.
>Permissioned
I'm sure there is some backdoor but I'm not aware of any publicly announced ones. They effectively control the NNS which is what governs the IC system. But also they alone are the only ones who decide who gets to run a node and every node is KYC'd in a datacenter, that's what I was referring to with that statement.
