So in probably about a year i'm going to receive around $200,000 pure cash. Why? Because my really stupid Dad died right when he got a big payout from a house and luckily(LUCKILY I say because he has like 3 illegitimate children and my mom is the mother he ever married) he didn't write a will. So this shits going to probate and everything should default to me and my Mom. She has no problem with me getting something but she doesn't feel the same about the others and it should be fairly open and shut. Of course that's not also counting his handful of vehicles that we'll sack so you could maybe raise it a few more hundred thousands. I don't know. But that's not important and maybe there's a lawyer nerd on here who wants to break my knees on what I just laid down.

The main thing is i'm not rich to start with. I work from home in my folks house for $18 an hour. But this is perhaps the biggest amount of money i'll ever receive in life unless I play it really smart. What would you suggest is a good business way to take this sort of money /biz/? The stock market is obvious of course but i've seen too many minimal returns with all the chump change I thrown at it in the past. Same with Crypto.

Take it from me lawyer up asap, people can and will be filing claims against your estate you don't even know since it's public information reason mine took so long some doctor who was murderering people claimed my dad owed him 160k, he didn't but didn't matter his and my lawyer drained our estate and in the end turns out the doctor was wanted in our state so he never even showed me, my lawyer was actually a real estate lawyer turns out he was waiting till my house got so behind he could force it to auction, had his friend buy it and then they burned it down.
I wouldn't count your chickens before they hatch.
That was my house, the same house my dad worked his entire life for so I could have it, was his promise to me, I worked for him for 12 years for free to help him since he was older, and jewish bankers and lawyers teamed together and robbed my happiness, the place I was born in.
The place I watched my father die in.
It was my goal to get it back, then they stole my dream.
It's been rebuilt and looks like shit and cheaply made for resale.
Ruined the yard cut down all my trees i planted as kids, including a row of pecans that just started fruiting.

It's very real, and it's made me the bitter man I am today, believe me out of all of you I want rule of law to fade away so I can release my pent up anger, I had to become buddhist so I didn't kill everyone involved, they stole my dream I was going to fight tooth and nail to get back what was mine, and they burnt it down for money, paper money that meant absolutely nothing to me.

I laid my whole story out before and like someone said It's literally the backstory of a super villain.

Few typos in what I said i meant he never showed up to court not showed up to me.

Everyone who fucked me is dead already, not from my hand but maybe my intention was intense enough karma took it's course, only reason the lawyer finally closed it I called him drunk after drinking three long island ice teas (and I never drink literally at all I hate alcohol)
Called him up after throwing up all over a bathroom floor telling him I'm going to find him and rip his head off and his family, he closed it within a week after that.

Likely but if anyone reads this thread and are going through probate they can get some valuable information from what I went through.

Gonna say this in caps because it's serious
GET A LIVING WILL, A PAYABLE ON DEATH AND SETUP A IRREVOCABLE TRUST, THESE THREE THINGS WILL ALLOW YOU TO AVOID PROBATE, PROBATE IS A DEATH TRAP FOR YOUR ESTATE AND WILL ULTIMATELY KILL YOUR FAMILY.

If you have parents MAKE SURE they fucking do this, it costs little and will save you possibly everything.

Perhaps but I don't think they will. The house he got all that money was already in probate(Story is that my older brother died in California, had a house and no will and an ex wife) and it wasn't too bad of a battle. My pops' lawyers raped hers to the point where I think she only got 90k from a 1.2 million house. I don't need to lawyer up because again my Mom will.

My father unfortunatly was born illiterate because of a failed birth and doctor's fucking it up in a bad tube which gave him brain damage from lack of oxygen, he wasn't dumb but couldn't read and he trusted his lawyer, I didn't trust his lawyer I thought he was a fucking snake and sure enough he was, he tried getting the mineral rights on his death bed and my dad dying and delusional signed off on it, luckily it took the main oil holder to sign off on it, he called us and asked us if we wanted to and we refused because it didn't make sense, he wanted to pay 30k on rights that paid out 2.5k in passive income per month in 2008.
I was young and naive but do the math on an investment that brings in 2-5k a month, and put a fucking value on that.
God damn snake tried to steal a multi milliondollar investment from my family.
It's been a struggle to get my mother to not sell it but I've got her pretty convinced, she doesn't have a living will either luckily my brother just got a small settlement so he's fixing her will so we don't have to go through that again.
The whole experience has fucked my life up still but luckily I've gotten my family to a better place so if I die soon which I might from some serious illness consuming me I did my job.

Take it serious though make sure you secure it asap and don't let your mom just trust a lawyer be her assistant and go through all documents with a fine tooth comb, I did it for her had I not been there it would have gotten way worse.

lol well you shouldn't feel that way, just take my shit life as a warning of what can happen, it's not even the tip of the iceberg if I get real deep it depresses people.
It got a lot worse for me after that, wasn't even living a good life before it but I lived in a nice neighborhood and had something to look forward to and get an advantage in life, and boy looking at my past and how it would of played out versus how it did play out still makes me angry.
But anger and revenge is a trade off for the likely total loss of freedom I would have gotten.
It's been a long time nearly a lifetime now, and I'm fairly sure I'm at the last year or two maximum of my life, healths been degrading rapidly these last 5 years and especially this year, that's how I cope, I know I won't have to hold onto this anger much longer.

I've been having a new symptom which feels like someones stabbing me in my neck randomly causing me to collapse to the floor, happened after my last long post there why I disappeared for a bit, it comes in waves but whatever is eating me is doing it quickly.

When I go I'll get to see my father again, and we have a lot of catching up to do, I can assure you he didn't see how this world unfolded.
