I'm 30 years old and I have no credit report. How do I build credit if I'm not eligible for credit cards.

Surely you are able to procure a credit card with a low spending limit? I received my first credit card as an adolescent and I wouldn't have had any sort of credit history at that time. The credit card had a $1000 dollar limit - although, perhaps I was approved because my savings account had $15,000? Nonetheless, you can try enquiring about being approved for a simple credit card with a low limit.

Capital one do credit cards for people without any history. Just buy a McDonalds on it once a month and pay your bill on time/early and you'll build credit. Get hold of your credit file and keep track of everything.
