really have to read the fine print with every purchase

only if you buy from reputable dealers. most of the big sites have an ebay shop jm buillion, apmex etc. You aren't going to find any insane deals unless its sterling junk. My main bullion sites are:
texas precious metals:free shipping for poor fags
herobullion: great prices free shipping over $150
Bold precious metals: good prices free shipping over $200, owned by a big christian family

It is the same as buying from Etsy or Amazon or any website really, you need a reputable dealer or to be buying something that isn't faked (low mintage art bars from reputable mints)
A lot of metal sellers sell on multiple platforms including eBay, often eBay costs more than their other storefronts because eBay takes a cut, so if I see something I like on eBay, from a seller with a high rating and lots of silver for sale / lots of silver sold, I see if they have their own separate website and buy direct (usually with Shopify or PayPal)

it is always strange to me how amazing the premium on copper wire is for a 9995 purity metal for certain wire types, and most salvaged copper actually can turn a decent profit if you know what you are doing
I quite enjoy the old copper coins of different nations though, wish there were more large copper coins in circulation today buy seems most of even the smaller denominations of purer copper coins have been phased out due to how expensive copper has gotten for coinage
It always seems to me that the first coins in currency to be debased or phased out of production are gold, and then silver, and then copper is the third kind of metal to be debased and eventually cease production

that's not the worst you could have done, but not the best either. if you wanted individual government rounds then maple leaves were probably the way to go.

let's say you wanted to buy cheaper, perhaps on ebay. on ebay I like using liberty coin because they have retarded cheap prices compared to everywhere else. or at least they used to, because premiums have skyrocketed apparently. anyways:

People stack for different reasons. Some intend to never sell and only trade for goods in a hyperinflationary scenario, with anything left over being passed on to the next generation. Some might plan to sell half their stack if prices moonshot and then save the rest for later.

>9x 10oz Britannias : $265 (I can do $5 shipping for 1 or $6 for 1 if you live in California )
that's 27 an ounce including shipping
>21x 1oz 2013 Canadian Maples: $26.50 each (most are milky in some capacity)
maple leaves like you bought earlier, 26.5 an ounce. lots of sellers on here will trim their prices if something's wrong with the round but you're still getting one ounce of silver
>10x 1oz Generics (1 sunshine mint and 9x Asahi): $26 each
relatively cheap compared to major dealers, just mind the effect of shipping costs on price per ounce if you're buying in small quantities
>$3 FV 90% Walking Liberty's: 18x each (these six have partially or completely illegible dates) PENDING
junk silver at 18-20x is typical here, someone already happened to buy these though

would recommend giving this forum a try

Causing banks to fail is the whole point. When the small banks fail then JPM can buy them up and get their market share. The fed and the "too big to fail" banks are working hand in hand right now to consolidate and centralize the banking sector ahead of the planned CBDC rollout. Raising rates to cause those bank failures is the cornerstone of the plan.

Powell and Yellen know what they are doing.

I'll say the exact opposite of the boomers who already answered you : yes it's a good idea. Once you buy your gold, it's that much cash you wont be tempted to spend anymore. If you are like me and cash burn your pockets, it's the most optimal way to progressively create a treasure stash.
Personally i started to stack i had next to no savings, and i'm on neetbux with a side gig, so i'm far from being wealthy. But any time i saved enough for a tube, i ordered one. It's that much i couldn't spend on fast food, booze, weed and other stupid shit.
Now, 5 years later, i'm as poor as when i started, my bank account is still near 0. But i'm sitting on 1700oz at home. If i didn't do this i know i would still have zero on my bank account, i simply would be fatter. So it's also a net positive for your health.

And that's not counting that the dollar is living it's last moments. If you don't buy now, then when?

My copypasta:
- For new generic bars, note the premiums (added charges) over spot: they go up for smaller pieces.
- Some beautiful generic items are priced comically high (Germanias, GSM special editions, e.g.). Regardless, dealers may categorize and price these as "generic" (meaning below or at spot) when buying them from you. Or your gamble might pay off if their provenance becomes highly regarded (Englehard, PAMP, antique miners/refiners, e.g.).
- When a new series of artful or themed bullion is issued, the first of the series are often missed by later collectors. They may pay high premiums to fill in their series. Caution: political or cringeworthy themes are less likely to appreciate.
- Low-mintage series are often priced very high, but may in time increase in value the most.
- Gov't-issued coins cost least during the mint run. Once the mintage stops and dealers run out of stock, their prices often jump, then rise only a bit faster than generic silver.
- Maples, Eagles, Wieners, Britannias, etc. are all nice but boring. Annual changes to overall designs become series (Somali elephants, Canadian Wildlife, Australian kookaburras or koalas, island nations' series, etc.), adding potential series appreciation.
- If you buy pieces that appeal to your sense of art, taste, and interests, you will still appreciate them even if the price or value of the PM goes nowhere. Caveat: if you go to sell, it's harder to let go of them.
- Shipping is an added premium. Many online vendors offer free shipping for purchasing a minimum amount (commonly $200). Your local coin shop has no shipping to charge.
- Vendors may charge extra for using a credit card. That might balance if your card offers cash back.
- Keep all sales receipts and a spreadsheet of your purchases to track profit/loss: it's quite revealing and may help guide future decisions.

You give them too much credit. The Fed and the big banks know that inflation means the end of the party. If they need to kill off the weak players and put people in bread lines to save the fiat scam they will. But it isn't a plan, it's desperation. And they have run out of easy ways to prolong the scam. It's going to be a rough ride from here on out. And there will be no CBDC. The Fed and the US government no longer have the clout to pull it off. And you not enough. I don't get this copium of trying to blame incompetence on obvious kikes' malevolence.
The ones in charge comes from elites families, they majored the most prestigious universities in the world, yet somehow they magically become complete cretins the minute they are in position of power?
This is ridiculous, i don't buy it for a minute. They are correct to play the dumb card in front of the cattle goyim, since said goylem are stupid enough to fall for this trick over and over again and forgive them literally everything. It's working like an immunity charm
>well ok Xberg accidentally betrayed our best interests once again, but we can hold him accountable, look at how retarded he is lol

Our overlords managed to pull a scamdemic psyops worldwide who included all the transnational institutions, all the power structures of 99% of the nations on this planet, synced it all perfectly, and you still believe they somehow are dummies out of options, even though they have access to unlimited funds, unlimited brainpower, and plan their actions decades in advance?

The real starter stack is just an extra week or two of the non-perishables you already eat. Pancake mix, tomato soup, whatever it might be. Eventually you can expand into things like pic related. When you go for the freeze dried food and are comparing between sources, the key factor is how many calories you're getting per dollar. A lot of the patriot supply type sellers aren't really competitive with the likes of Sam's Club or Costco if they're in stock.

I think I currently have a year and a half of freeze dried stuff on top of a couple hundred pounds of basic components like flour and oatmeal.

All I think is that he didn’t need to cheat. At least not in the sense that they hacked the computers or some shit and manipulated vote counts. They effectively bombarded the public 24/7 non stop with propaganda. X good. Y bad. I don’t think that’s a terribly unreasonable explanation for the outcome.

You can find some of the same things separately, sure, and I recommended doing just that. A main allure of these things aside from the variety of meals is that they're sealed in a way to stay fresh for 25+ years. You can buy a 25lb bag of rice for $15 but it'll only last, what, a year in storage? With these you don't have to manage a first in, first out system and can sock them away somewhere.

I myself sometimes wonder if they count votes at all. I’ve worked at a polling station, actually. Pretty good money. I mean…maybe they just throw those votes in a shredder, and the central planners just churn out a number for each candidate at the end of the night.

I have a retarded question. I'm looking to diversify and want to get maybe around 3 to 5K of silver for now purely for putting it away investment.
But I was wondering, why do people bother with coins not just stack like 1-10oz bars?

>> No.54278338

>>54278277
Coins are usually more recognizable. And of course with smaller denominations, it’s easier to make small transactions.

Try to estimate the density. Weigh it, and measure the diameter/thickness. For the thickness you might need to eyeball it bit, as the outer rim of the coin is usually thicker. Gold has a density of 19.3g/cm^3. If you get a number lower than 15, I'd be extremely concerned.

On this case tho there's a real answer.
Coins can have tax advantages.
Coins may have the perception to some people as being more accepted as genuine (not debating if this is true.)
One ounce coins will "generally" have a smaller total spread than bars. This might not be true for some bars and some weights of coin.
Coins are more likely to have security measures. Pic related.

There’s a small enough price difference when you’re buying coins in amounts of 10 or more that bars don’t really make all that much sense. For example; spent 280 on 10 Brits after the recent spike and 10 oz bars are maybe 10ish bucks cheaper. The higher divisibility, the ease of storing if you have tubes, and the recognition most have like the other anon stated makes it a hard argument to say that bars are better.

So when y'all talk about recognizability and using for smaller transactions, are you talking from the standpoint of prepping and having the coins be a post-apocalyptic currency? Or are you talking about recognizability in the if I go to a pawn shop or wherever the hell it is, you go to exchange the silver for gross ass usd if you need it to cash it out or something. The pawn shop would be less likely to turn you away with a silver coin versus a silver bar?

>>54278363
Simple enough. I didn't know if it was a. This is a hobby and I just like to have these things or if there was some sort of financial or collecting incentive to prefer coins over bars.

Sorry I'm probably fucking autistic just trying to figure out what's going on.
