I think the market for it is actually pretty small. If you go on pornhub or any other big sites and click "verified channels" or whatever, there's really only a handful of studios producing porn videos under a variety of names. They produce and sell DVDs or digital copies to absolute gooners or rich perverts who have no problem paying for their porn. By paying they get access to higher quality videos than you can get for free online. The free videos on pornhub and other sites are basically just advertisements to get that small number of people to convert into paying customers (probably far less than 1% of viewers).

Personally I think that 2006-2020 or so was likely the golden age of free porn. Now that OnlyFans has taken off, plus the total amount of free porn that still exists, I think the existing traditional studios will have a more difficult time making money in the future. Especially since now after 20-ish years of free streaming internet porn, we are starting to see negative effects in society (incel neets, broken marriages, women turned into turbosluts)

This is in the USA, there really is practically no prostitution here. Sure there used to be backpage.com and there pseudo prostitute sites like seekingarrangement.com, but otherwise there are no actual prostitutes here outside of places like Las Vegas or New York and Miami and some of the huge cities. Even then, there aren't that many of them compared to what you'd find in a typical European, Latin American, or Asian city.
