Sell now before things really start tanking. Hold cash, do not take on any additional debt obligations. Rates will go down. If you think things are going to get really bad (small chance), take money out of small/regional banks and credit unions and put them in accounts at one of the large banks (JPMC, Citigroup, WF, BoA). In the event of a severe depression, the smaller banks might institute bail-ins, but realistically, this level of severity is extremely unlikely. If you are going to hold on to stocks, DIVERSIFY and put most of your money into very stable investments like utilities, common consumer staples (think very popular food companies (not restaurants)), walmart, etc.

If you think a severe recession or depression is coming, sell now. In a best case scenario, you'll be able to buy back in at a later date when recovery begins and come out far ahead years down the road. In a worst case scenario, the recession doesn't occur and you lose a small amount of gains from selling stock, and rates continue to increase, reducing your borrowing capacity.

isn't this kind of playing into their hand?

the jews at these companies and the government want nothing more than consolidation of this industry and they've been achieving that over the last 20 years quite successfully (17k banks to roughly 5k now)

if everyone dumps their money into the Big 4 then they get everything they want, full surveillance of transactions, etc. but without having to roll out another currency and take the hit of converting

I'm not moving shit, would rather hold cash or buy metal (some of which has cordite built in)

I'm just giving a strategy that is most safe for the average person in the unlikely event of a severe depression in which bail-ins are a risk factor. It is an extreme measure and I don't think it is warranted right now. I am just saying that if you do think that is where we are headed, that is your best strategy. Either cash out completely or move to one of the too big to fail banks. If worse comes to worse, they will get bailed out while the smaller banks might bail-in.
