>> No.53948451

I use my middle name and pretend that's what "everyone calls me" to obfuscate things a little. I don't have a social media presence anyway, although I'm considering making some bullshit Linkedin profiles at some point.
You obviously have to use your real name when you get real jobs. I've had a few gigs for cash before and I always give a completely fake name to those.
Not like it matters. It's not like anyone gives a shit to do a thorough background check on who you are. Most jobs just do the minimum required amount of work.
And if, by some freak chance, they do find out you're full of shit... then what? You don't get the job - big fucking deal. Move on to the next because they're all the same; pay you as little as possible to rob you of your time and life.
That's why you should never bat an eye when you fuck them over - because they will always fuck you three times as hard with a horse cock and no lube.

>> No.53948526

what kind of jobs are you applying for? ive been trying to think of a way to make money with gpt semi ethically before this all goes to hell.

>> No.53948618

>>53948526
I'd say anything that is tangentially related to what I'm good at. Nothing to do with my bullshit degree that's for sure, and certainly nothing fancy.
I just browse the job classifieds and if anything is even remotely within the realms of my bullshitting abilities I will apply for it. Say that I'm looking for career growth opportunities in a different field and so on. For example, anything from security services to telecommunications, transportation, skilled trades, parks and wildlife - it doesn't matter as long as the pay is decent.

For example, if you wanted to get into management you could literally fake an entire resume and cover letter with a lifetime's worth of "leadership" experience and as long as you can half-assed play the part no one will ever question it.
Most jobs are very easy to learn and get the hang of, if you can fake it over the initial shock and adjust accordingly.

Hasn't happened yet. I'm usually quite confident in my abilities to perform at every job I get - and I know how to be a good wagie. I know whenever I quit, that company took a blow.
So it's not like they're not getting their money's worth - because they're getting way more than what shit starting wage we negotiate.
I just bullshit so I can get in easy. I bullshit because their bullshit HR system is a scam and a cancer upon the world. I'm just good at playing their game and giving them a taste of their own medicine.
>>53948653
Not financial advice, man. You can always try it though, and you can always go back to whatever it is you're doing now.
Just make sure you can actually do the work once you do get hired lol

You have nothing to lose. I've done the same with faking a bachelor degree to get a managerial position at a warehouse. I've worked in a warehouse before, don't have a degree, but my knowledge and bullshit skills got me from $18 an hour to $30 an hour with less manual labor. They trained me their in house software. Now I have management experience.

I'm pretty sure the X degree requirement is to weed our the addicts, immigrants, and illiterate. Dressed the part for the interview, was presentable, and we'll spoken. They did not verify my qualifications

>> No.53948833

As someone who has done something similar, I’ve found this only works with small to midsize businesses. Corporations will absolutely preform thorough back ground checks

>> No.53948887

You could lose your career. I’m stuck now I believe where I’m getting paid 90k/year at a nice finance job, but I can’t ever switch positions for fear that the new bank disqualifies me due to background checks, despite being extremely qualified for the positions.

>> No.53949556

All these faggots saying
>y-you could lose your job/career!!!

Do you fucks realize there is no career without lying? It's that or $15 forever.

I lied about my work experience to get into my job, they did a background check and you know what? the information that didnt match up they just asked me for proof and i photoshopped it. Been at this job excelling and they love me.

If you dont lie at every chance you get you'll just lose out to someone who did. burn it all to the ground.

I think we should start a /biz/ resource sharing general. For credentials, certificates, courses and so on.
All of these things cost $$ and look real neato to have on your resume. And they're all really easy to photoshop.
Something as simple as first aid certification.

You can't lie yourself into EVERY position. Higher paying tech jobs will know immediately if you've never worked in the field, and not all of them let you beat off to anime at home all day while not responding to emails or Teams chats. OP is probably landing 20$/HR gigs and thinks he beat the system.

I'll give OP one thing - A resume is all BULLSHIT AND LIES. Go to the interview and bullshit and lie as much as you can. Look at the job posting and then critique your resume to their requirements. Put a Bachelor Degree on your resume and tell the interviewers that you have a bachelor degree in X. 9/10 they never ask for proof, or the HR dept. is inept or doesn't give a shit and forgets to ask you for proof. If you want to break into Tech get a couple of CompTIA certs and look for "Network Admin" or "System Admin". Anyone over a 120+ IQ can still break into Tech if you have the aptitude for it. Fuck coding and fuck help desk though.

i did a bs econ degree and wishing i did finance. i keep trying to apply for finance jobs but they all want 2 accounting classes or accounting experience. you think I could handle a finance job if I bullshit my way in like OP? I've done some work in R and I did all 4 semesters of calculus plus a little bit of stats, for whatever its worth. is finance even really difficult?

>> No.53950930

>use a few friends and my own burner phone as references
this might work for small/medium companies, but not large ones. they don't even ask for references anymore, they have a pajeet investigator team find references themselves and contact them.

Yes, bullshit your way into a finance position and then learn from your training and from google. Use Chat GPT. All you fucking niggers need your hand held like some fatherless skinny fat faggots. Let me give you some advice, life is all about lying and taking advantage of others to get ahead. You think the good guys win? There's some immutable law of nature that ensures that hard working and honorable men get rewarded by our system? Only the hucksters, sham artists, and con men get ahead in this life. Look at the top CEOs of big companies and you'll inevitably pull up dirt about how their parents rubbed elbows with some other jewish hedge fund manager or CEO.

Lie your way into a job. If it doesn't work then the worse that will happen is that they'll fire you and you're in the same spot that you were before interviewing or working there. Don't be afraid of some adversity.

Meh. You could probably do it, but you will be smelled out I think depending on what you’re applying for and how much you know. I did it without college because I benefited from nepotism by getting inside experience at a firm for 4 years, and on top of that I’m fucking autistic and have spent the last 8 years reading 1-3 hours a day worth of research papers on swaps and fixed income.

Honestly finance really fucking depends on where you end up whether it’s easy or not. There are some firms that your job is braindead easy, there are other firms where they’re hiring you to be the guy that knows everything.

I would 80% lie out your ass if it’s a small company, I would 100% lie out of your ass if they don’t have an outsourced background check process, and I would absolutely not lie if it’s for a brand name corporation. I would also pinpoint what job you want and figure out what career path that looks like and then find a small business where you can work for less in exchange for that title.

>You can't lie yourself into EVERY position.
Of course not anon. And I never implied so. Actually I implicitly stated you should definitely NOT apply for jobs you don't stand a reasonable chance of being able to do the work.
I don't think I beat the system, or that I made it, but I can score gigs for 28-32$/h and that's more than most people. And it helps me sleep at night that I'm not a corporate slave for life while doing it, and that I can just walk away whenever I want. It's not about beating the system, it's about playing it.
Who knows, maybe one day I'll land a job where I actually feel like I'm doing something positive in the world, and be content with it(lol yeah right)

But yeah, you're a man who gets it and I appreciate you anon.

I greatly regret not full on lying for a couple comfy factory jobs I applied to last month. I was completely honest in my resume because I knew I was still qualified for the job but I fluffed it with a bunch of random experience and employment gaps. I'm an idiot.

>> No.53951833

I think one can only get away with this if it’s a small-medium sized company no?
