If you're small time, yeah of course it is. Crypto is a heavily manipulated market, whales control the overwhelming majority of all crypto assets and can pretty easily coordinate pumps and dumps. It makes reliable trading predictions impossible and TA a complete joke. The only thing you can reliably predict is that if the market gets too bullish/bearish there'll be a quick liquidation swing to cream the degen cash.

All that said, it's still a growing market and ROI isn't the worst over the 3 to 5 year period, hodling is basically a more speculative and higher risk investment account.

Its not gambling. Its highly speculative investing like 1999 tech investing, highly volatile by nature. Its not gambling when you know the technology will eventually underpin the worlds financial system. Problem is we don't know which ones will do it. At any rate, people don't call it gambling when the number goes UP.

Learn to embrace the volatility- its why you may eventually succeed.
