They completely lack the thought of doing something productive with their time, on their own accord, for their own values or interests. And then when they retire they just play on their iPads and watch Fox News all day.

There is fulfillment in work. But it's not making spreadsheets or powerpoint updates for some soulless company that has to hit their 5-10% sales growth metrics. Imagine having the freedom for your work to be whatever you want. Groom hiking trails, create a boutique retail store, freelance for a local paper, be a physical trainer. There are thousands of options.

Or pursue hobbies. Or something. But no, these people are just on corporate autopilot
