>income
>in an IRA
>that can't be accessed for 30 more years
An IRA is tax deferred. A roth is permanently tax free. There is no need or reason to even have to sell shares to generate income. You should only be trading to rebalance or because you've found better opportunities. The money sits in there, and any trades are tax free. If you're going to bother with an IRA, the point is to maximize growth over that 30 year window.

Perhaps you actually do have a brain tumor, or maybe you're just a misguided young man who has never properly done the math in their head. Either way, your intelligence or lack thereof is irrelevant to the fact that your argument does not stand up to logic.
In the same sense, dividends are also irrelevant - with the exception of any tax impacts. The most significant tax related risk in an IRA is foreign tax withholding of dividends. A legitimate risk that will in fact hurt your compounding rate, all other things equal.

His brain is a bit slow at processing, apparently. Give him time.

The ultimate irony is that, considering everyone here trades, it would make more sense to active trade an IRA where the gains are compressed/deferred, and focus on holding dividend payers outside the IRA where the tax impacts take some relevance.

Your trolling has lost its charm at this point. Was fun while it lasted, and I do appreciate that some can put on the moron persona once in a while so that we can keep spreading this dividend irrelevance information out there.
There continue to be large groups of investors that have legitimately fooled themselves into believing that dividends have some kind of relevance. It is an unfortunate state.

So inflation bottomed at 5%. Remember all the clowns calling for ATHs two weeks ago? Get it through your thick skulls: INFLATION WILL NOT GO DOWN WITHOUT A RECESSION.

It’s a LOSE LOSE for bulls. Stop buying stocks, retards. You are only making it worse by forcing the fed to keep hiking when they’re already at the verge of breaking something (hikes are delayed)

Never once has any Fed member even hinted that they will begin cutting rates this year or any time in the immediate future. We are going to crab. Up or down, who knows, but for your golden bull run to happen we will have to drop much much lower first. And we will, easily 20% in the coming years, and we will see a vastly different roster on the S&P in that time as people stop spending money on useless shit like Amazon and Netflix.

Just follow the market and close your positions at the end of everyday. People only say shorting is dangerous because of infinite upside loss when borrowing shares- but you're not borrowing shares to short, you would be buying put contracts which has your losses capped at whatever you put into the trade. Just dont be an idiot only put in what you can afford to lose. Whats risky is going long in another cycle of aggressive rate hiking. Buy puts until inflation reports start coming in cooler again.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. consumer spending rebounded sharply in January amid strong income growth, while inflation accelerated, which could add to financial markets fears that the Federal Reserve could continue raising interest rates through summer.

Consumer spending, which accounts for more than two-thirds of U.S. economic activity, jumped 1.8% last month, the Commerce Department said on Friday. Data for December was revised higher to show spending dipping 0.1% instead falling 0.2% as previously reported. Economists polled by Reuters had forecast consumer spending rebounding 1.3%.

me but with AMD. AI is the future. i fucking hate position trading with all my fucking being because it takes so fucking long but in a couple of years i'll double my money so i don't really care. the key is being young and having a good do-nothing recession proof tech job like me. my job is considered really fucking boring and they can never keep people around to do it, little do they realize i can just day trade while listening to joe rogan all day while running tests on parts. it's actually not boring at all, but i won't tell them that.

Yeah just continue to ignore the fact the Emini has been dumping in the aftermarket hours day after day for the past week (with the exception of yesterday) and the market has been officially trending downwards despite the retard retail FOMO everyday. You retail tards have literally been buying the dip in a declining market. Even if the day is up 5% at the end of the day due to retail FOMO, Monday will just open up lower again lol.
