I fucking hate being born in the UK. I feel trapped in declining mediocrity. I wish I was born in the USA instead.

The rent in the UK is too fucking high everywhere and quality of housing is shit tier. Every single area in the UK is suffering from San Francisco tier anti-house building.

The taxes are too fucking high and they fund disgusting parasitic old people, lower class benefits scum, and invaders. I earn a top 20% salary and feel poor. Buying a car would significantly dent my ability to save money.

Horizons are so small here. There is no gigantic successful economy with its huge amount of opportunity.

Every single workplace feels like I've walked in to some sort of normie hivemind friendgroup that has known each other since secondary school. The normie Overton window is so narrow.

Wall to wall propaganda is blasted everywhere, telling us to worship the poor, the stupid, the small minded, the parasitic, the ugly, and to be grateful to be taxed for them.

The weather is shit. I can no longer pretend that the weather from October to February is anything other than depressing shit.

Ameriburgers have no idea how shit we have it compared to you.The average middle class American saves and earns so much, they should see all Europeans as ants.

>> No.53721643

This is why scoff at all these poorfag Americans complaining on biz. You literally have no excuse here. You can make $50usd an hour fucking mowing lawns self employed with little taxes and huge write offs. In UK you have to register every tv in your house to pay taxes on them. Pathetic American cunts.

We are a very poor nation or at least it feels like it but poor in a 1st world sense. It feels like social mobility is dead and the best you can do is enter upper 5 figs, you can't even see a doctor here, we are slowly getting taxed to death and replaced as a whole ethnicity. Our governments whether left or right are always anti-native and anti-natal, our bureaucracy makes it impossible to do anything, brexit was turned into a mistake when it was supposed to be a new start of self sufficiency and independence bringing back everything that was outsourced and sent overseas over the last 4 decades. The elite of the world must truly fear the angloid and other ethnicities of these isles for this to be happening.

In my opinion yes, the USA has far more opportunity, people who are in the USA live life on easy mode. However the main problem of the British is that they are all cynical, pessimistic, terminally hopeless. A brit will never take a chance, or seek out a new opportunity. If they fail at something, they will expell that thing from their life permanently, even if it could have ultimately landed them a new skill, new career, etc. People in shothole countries like India etc will bust their ass and move half way around the world just to get a degree, but to a British person, who won't even walk 2 minutes to the corner shop if it's raining, this sort of risk taking is entirely alien. Incomprehensible even, telling a British person to take a risk is like teaching an Indian how to use an indoor toilet. it's just not in their culture. Learning from failure is beyond us.

I had a teacher from Sri Lanka when I was younger, I lived in some shithole English country town, he told the class that town was the kind of place where you are born and then die, but it took me a long time to realize that actually applies to the entire island.

I'm soon to graduate and have a long history of employment alongside this, applying to graduate opportunities which want details, CV, cover letter (personalized beg), and cognitive assessments. I just did all that for one that had 96 questions to answer and got an auto reject after.

I managed about three applications in a few hours of intensive concentration.

There's nothing directly related to my degree that doesn't require living deprived (£70-£90 a day) to progress into.

I've been applying to normie jobs whilst finishing studying and never heard back from any of them.

I'm legit confused at wtf to do.

The UK and the US suffer from the same identity crisis and authenticity deficit but at least in the US you can save up enough to get away from it and protect your own tribe.

Tories and Labour are just as bad as each other. I could never vote for either.

Pumping asset bubbles with low interest rates isnt original or clever.

Australia and everyone else got away with this method for a decade, all because inflation stayed low. Of course, history shows that inflation goes up and down, eventually something, somewhere, happens and inflation rips. I remember people telling me at BBQ's that interest rates would stay low forever, that the government would never let the bubble pop.

Well it is happening right before our eyes.

The talk at the start of the pandemic was that housing was going to fall. Of course, it then proceeded to rip 40% higher. FHBs raided their super, got their parents to go guarantor, and rode the wave, thinking that if housing wasnt going to fall during a pandemic, then when will it fall...perhaps with good reason.

It was a classic bull trap. The dumb money bought property from the smart money, and over the coming years, the smart money will buy those properties back. That is how markets work.

As asset bubbles rise and inflate, eventually all that money flows into the real economy, rather than just being made up numbers, which leads us to the current situation: central banks around the world trying to control inflation with real interest rates still negative in many cases.

Australian property is like a punch drunk boxer, legs are like jelly, ready to go, just waiting for the ref to stop the fight or the other boxer to put one more good jab on the chin and drop the other boxer like a bag of potatoes.

What a mess we are in. As a country, we deserve it.

We saw what happened in the GFC, and then said, "nup wont happen here". And here we are.

I do largely agree with you OP, but there are benefits to living in such mediocrity. For example, if you're a higher rate taxpayer, people basically think you're a millionaire. I told someone I make £58000 and I might as well have told them I made £100k an hour. Also, £20000 ISA allowance per person is more than generous and is my long-term exit plan (and pretty much the only reason I'm still in this shitty country, which I hate).

They can't exist in the country, physically I mean, like frogs can't survive in salt water. I'm no negro anthropologist so I daren't speculate on the reason, but some factors could be:

*The necessity of cars to get anywhere
>Makes it harder to dodge fares on public transport, their preferred method of locomotion

*Harder/riskier to rob people
>Lots of shotguns, few basedboys

*Lack of numbers/footholds into these places
>They hunt in packs and thrive in groups

*Little to no social housing and high cost of real estate
>Very little money in their communities, without handouts, penetration into new areas is difficult

People are generally friendly and nice, which isn't true for a lot of other countries. Also the water in the north (where I live) is the best I've ever found and I've been all over the world. The problem is, the whole world is fucked cause of climate change - was in nice France at the weekend and the sea and beaches are wrecked - sea full of these dead jelly fish which were washing up onto shore, and some kind of algea had washed up onto the beach and then dried when the tied went out and was 2 feet thick, covering the beach. Britain is fucked, totally. Destroyed in large part by boomers. I don't think it's a uniquely British problem but we're definitely the worst case globally. I put it down to a complete disintegration of sophisticated civil discourse, aided in large part by the corporate capture of the media. Nothing is argued in good faith, it's always bullshit meant to deflect from the real point, made to be as inflammatory as possible as everything hinges on it's immediate emotional impact. This serves a virtuous circle for the media, firstly it makes money - because it results in engaged audiences (angry people), but it also makes them completely retarded and allows the media to control national sentiment. But the ultimate result is a population where no one has a holistic view of history, any sense of economic fluency or vision of a (politically) plausible alternative. It's prejudice fuelled by conspiracy (or just nonsense) all the way down, and nothing intelligent can develop from a democracy where no one can ever be informed.

For instance, we used to value the imput of experts - logically - the people we delegate responsibility for specialising their knowledge so we don't have to, but now completely disregard them for a procession of reactionary pundits that obliterate nuance, retread tired old arguments that have been regurgitated for 30+ years and bully their opinions onto the nation so no real solution can ever find consensus. All the while we stagnate and become poorer, opportunity cost washes us by, and our national wealth is syphoned off into tax havens.

Until the boomers die, we will never be allowed to grow.

you are confusing demoralised with risk taking. i am self made. i have only taken risks in my life and they have always paid off. the problem here is we are constantly getting fucked from every angle, every day its something else taking away your freedom, money, culture. its just a constant bombardment of bad news and im not talking about media, its all local.

your local pub shuts down, you get an leccy bill of 40k, someone wants to stick you with untested drugs, theres no fuel for some reason, theres no food on the shelves in the superstore, the place you work goes bust, and if its not happening to you its happening to someone you know/love. its proper garbage over here at the moment. truely a shithole and its turning people against each other.

If that's the case it's much better than in Canada. Here we don't even have experts to consult, just, on one hand, "experts" in the form of barely cognizant college grads who've been hired to act as mouthpieces for social engineering experiments on behest of the ruling colonial elite, on the other hand, paid oil/natural gas lobbiests.

The only saving grace is a robust welfare state and abundant natural wealth which makes it possible to all but entirely opt out of society.

On topic, I lived in the UK for a bit too. It's a miserable shithole and you need to be top 5% earner to not have to live with your parents. Renters pay property tax there by the way and a broom shack costs a thousand pounds in taxes yearly while aristocrat country homes cost thrice that.
