they have been close to death for much of their lives and think about it often; as a result they know what life is really about; pure randomness.

RNG is literally God. the casino communicates with it. gambling, just like speculative trading, is a spiritual experience.

Because it's the hot spot for people to throw away their money. It's not rocket science. This is also why you see the worst of humanity in places like /biz/

cope. they are just chasing quick money, which is why they are criminals in the first place. most of them grew up in troublesome circumstances which wired their brains into a state of impulsive shortsightedness, generating money in a quick way to be able to leave the misery, coupled with a crab in the bucket mentality to flex on peers with cash and jewlery for status.

>homeless people
No. They wouldn't be allowed in any casino with a membership system, ID checks on the door or that isn't just a complete shady as fuck dump

>prostitutes
They go through plenty of loose cash and tend to have it on hand. Also some use it as a place to do low key soliciting and find no shortage of men that have disposable wealth to blow on things like gambling. Especially the ones that do it alone or away from the wife/gf.

>pimps
Same as above but also bit of the below as well.

>drug dealers
Busier casinos and especially at the weekend or Friday nights are a good place to do business and find casual buyers in the toilets or smoking areas outside. Also a convenient place to launder money from drug income and make it appear as legitimate gambling winnings if they ever have to explain having large amounts of cash on hand.

>organised criminals
Both of the above. Money laundering mostly but also spend money, fund gambling habits and generally flex money and status signal. Also organised and professional cheats that fall under this category.

>prostitutes

>and organized criminals
To sell drugs or launder cash

The casino is open 24/7, has places to eat/drink and places to just hang out. There aren't many places like that. Alcohol is also free, probably the biggest reason.

dopamine
brains work very differently. some are happy 24/7, drugs dont do anything for them, and if they go to a casino its once a year and very exciting.
others need 3 drugs working at once and a secondary thrill just to feel happy for 5 minutes.
its got everything to do with brain chemistry. (ADD/ADHD)
