If you think about it that doesn't make sense at all. The work force hasn't changed. Just because women are making more money doesn't mean men don't mostly work with other men and things like that. If you're a construction worker or something (we're short on plumbers and carpenters) those fields are probably 99% male. People just grow up thinking they can live in a holywood fantasy and basically refuse to work. Our entire culture has lost the integrity that it took to work in unsafe coalmines and factories. The difference is that now that it's safer to do these things, nobody wants to spend their entire life doing it. At least that's how I feel. I am just trying to make a nice stack, travel and see some things and enjoy media.

Our entire culture could collapse and we could all be uneducated living in shanty houses. It's totally possible. I have this theory that if we improve our social skills as a culture then workplace moral will improve everywhere, but we actually have a culture of dominance and exploitation which demoralizes people from trying to innovate. That's why companies like Google have all these lax policies on what you do with your time. But people get selfish and take this stuff for granted.

I think we have to change infrastructure and the way our culture teaches niceness. This way we have a nicer society and better social skills. People are really sensitive.

I'll be honest, I have a Comp Sci degree, have been making six figs since I graduated quite a few years ago and lived in apartments until recently buying an overpriced house that I will now lose money on.

I've got 200k+ in savings, not including retirement accounts and stocks, but it's still pretty pointless. A decent home in a decent area near me is 500k+, then I'm stuck with a 3k monthly mortgage, 40%+ of my income going to taxes, crazy food prices, etc.

If my business plan doesn't materialize and allow me to sell and bank 500k+ from the proceeds, I'm moving out of the U.S. Anyone under the age of 30 without daddy's money has no real future here unless you are making 300k+ yearly or luck out on a business.
