I actually am. But managers are not PE visible so their salaries are regular pleb level. 110kish.
Director and above make a massive premium ad they are above the invisible line.

that sucks, i always wondered how PE-backed salaries work. i know the CFO can make big fucking money if they do their job "right" and commit borderline fraud so as to pump EBIDTA -- speaking from my experience auditing a PE-backed shitter that was later sold off to another retarded business for laughable amounts of money.

i live in philly and work remotely for a very big corporation based in the northeast.

The difference in salary if you are brought in by the peg versus hired by the company is close to 50% and we typically get equity, annual bonus and executive insurance while preaching to the company to "tighten the belt".
And yes we pump ebitda, thata my job, but rarely fraud.
For anyone reading, if you are going to work soulless hours in finance, switch to peg, at least the payout is better

accounting employees of the PE firm, you mean? i always assumed they outsourced that to """advisory""" firms, if the acquisition's existing staff were incompetent.

>> No.53546807

>>53546714
No. A staff Accountant at a company owned by a peg is courted by the company itself and knows very little of whats really going on. A director of vp of finance (who will work at the company just like the staff) is courted by the peg (or at the very least vetted).
The auditors are 3rd party, usually top 10 firm.
The peg itself has analysts, but if your name doesnt end in 'ein' or your dad doesn't play golf with a senator, your not going to the peg itself

At lower experience levels it's mostly just advanced data entry. Maybe a little harder than what you're used to but still boils down to sitting on your ass and messing with spreadsheets all day. At mid level it mostly involves tard wrangling the staff accountants and making sure they don't miss things. At higher levels, when you're a partner or getting close to it, it becomes more of a sales job and you spend most of your time talking to clients while delegating the actual work.

To be honest, analytics is kind of soul-sucking. It’s boring, tedious work, and once you become known as the “smart data guy”, people will think you’re the wizard of Oz and can just magic a report up out of nowhere for them at a moment’s notice.
The smart thing to do is automate as much as you can, tell nobody, then use the extra time for yourself.
