Literally every time there was a major Tether printing there were threads about it. People did recognize it as shady, but rode along because they also realized it would (artificially) inflate BTC price.

But if you look at messages from people cashing out or people speculating reasons for a potential crash (before this latest downtrend), you will find Tether being listed as a source of unease for many.

Of course the normies and Pajeets wouldn't know or care. But I think /biz/ has been pretty aware of Tether, especially compared to the crypto population as a whole.
