I trade a system so there's a whole lot of waiting for my one or two opportunities to scalp per day. I walk away after about two hours of work a day whether I get those two trades or not. Have to set limits like this to avoid forcing yourself into bad trades.

Heh I spent my time in high school and college learning to program and found I didn't like it by the time I finished my computer science bachelor's. I spent most of my free time learning to trade derivatives. More flexible and lucrative but difficult as a test of discipline and emotional control.

Thats just how life works, ive learned that its always the stuff you like most that no one else likes. I dont even share my interests with people anymore.

For example, I draw comics and I draw them for MY amusement alone. If other people enjoy them as well then great, but if everyone else hates them I dont care because its not about them. Just do what you like because you like it. The nice thing about books and comic books is they can sit on a shelf for 60 years until someone who can really appreciate them comes along and reads it, and there will always be at least one weirdo who will like said work no matter what it is.

Guilty of this too. I grew up in florida and moved to a VERY cold city when I graduated college in 2021 and the seasonal depression is very real. One of the things I had to get used to, still not sure Im fully there.
