Bitcoin markets display a fascinating and bizarre level of consistency between cycles.

In the 2018-29 bear, BTC traded below the 200DMA for 386-days.

With last weeks rally, BTC is back above the 200DMA, having spent 381-days trading below it.

Thanks for delivering OP. I'm not going to bully you. I think it's great you have taken an interest in trying to learn how to read market structure. My advice is to just focus your efforts elsewhere and ditch the on-chain shit, and remember that the more esoteric your indicators / TA is the less likely it is to happen.
The best thing to do is focus on long term support / resistance levels then use some kind of confluence with it. I think this bounce was pretty obvious based on how brutally bearish general sentiment was but I expect this rally to die and make new lows. That doesn't mean price can't push a bit higher first though.

Like he says our last bullrun was heavily manipulated by institution deciding to play the game and use retail as exit liquidity. Keep in mind despite them running the price up to an ath then selling the local top and causing the price to fall back down to ~30k retail then followed to drag the top out for nearly 3 more months and brought btc to a new ath of 69k. Whale wallets and institutions undoubtably make these markets but you cannot discount retail sentiment. Assuming inflation continues to rise the housing bubble bursts, the average person will start looking at other assets to store their wealth. The pump this week is invariably retail fomo however retail wallets are reaching an all time high after an 80% collapse and that is indicative of a sentiment shift. In the next few months I could see us making a leg back down to a previous low of ~15k-18k then seeing a takeoff to 30k as institution decides the bottom is in. The time to accumulate is now but don’t expect a takeoff to new ath’s any time soon.

interest hikes manipulates the market's opinion into and it has a consequence of increasing the value of the dollar which decreases the value of btc if btc doesn't gain value at the same time
furthermore bitcoin has always existed during a moment of dollar creation, now dollar creation is slowing down, some analysts say that it would create a liquidity crisis, some others are calling for a depression, that's without accounting for a black swan
all of that would have likely caused bitcoin to go to around 10k before the bull market starts again, unless the macro gets very bad which it might

Well explained anon I’m glad you have a grasp unlike 90% of this board. I agree with most of what you said but you must consider interest rates cannot keep growing the way they have been. If interest continues the way it has people will begin to default on their home loans, cars, personal etc. We’ll see people taking advantage of government gibs in greater and greater numbers which will just see the fed print more of their green papers. I believe the entire intent is to crash the value of the dollar and reset but thats besides the point. If we truly enter a depression we’ll simply see people begin to hoard value storing assets just like in 1931 with gold. It has been constantly theorized that btc will enter into a golden bullrun and if we’re to see the value of the usd collapse wealth will pour into these assets and we’ll see them skyrocket to places unlike ever before. That’s purely speculation on my end obviously I cannot predict what’s around the corner however it is a lot less likely we see the value of the us dollar increase anymore. Buying power will drop further and further down and people will be forced to store their wealth in other ways. Thats also the key difference people always forget when it comes to btc and legacy stocks.

I think their intent is to keep inflation at 2% while having the dollar always stronger, which is not possible anyway
the dollar will probably devalue very slowly over many years/decades
the question is what happens in 2023 short term

impossible to know what will happen it's random

looking at the short term, people walking into the grocery to buy eggs and bread each week and seeing the faces on the notes they have to use slowly change will have a major impact. seeing your monthly budget rising higher and higher each quarter will scare people into considering alternatives to saving cash in their bank. obviously a tangible asset like gold is the best way to go but i see that as being more bullish than bearish for btc.
