Women can be such fickle and easily manipulated creatures. In a bull market, telling them you own some crypto gets their attention. In a bear market, you're a loser.
Is it best to simply not mention it at all?

I used to show my gf LINK threads in its prime and she would laugh at them with me. She doesn’t really care about my crypto and says it’s my thing so do what I want.

Although it’s at a point now where she assumes I’m in the green basically forever because of the prices she saw when I was buying and the prices it’s at now

Better not to tell anyone you have anything like crypto or investments. You'd be surprised how people can resent you for doing well, not lending them money, or not telling them "your secret" etc.

Also; that girl has nice legs.

If you're married then what happens if you're in a car crash and die? You gonna leave your wife broke? Why should it make any difference if it's crypto or trad assets?
You could arrange a process eg lawyer holds half the seedphrase so in the event of your death they get access. Not having a plan for inheritance is a bit selfish, if it's a significant amount.

Very good advice. Your finances are a private affair. Your girlfriend does not have a right to your money. Its not on her to make decisions based on its amount. If you keep quiet she thinks you have a lot probably what is good enough. If somebody asks you if they should buy crypto stay vague. Like: Be careful, its complicated. Show them that you know but don't be their financial advisor. Also never ever lend money to anybody!!!

I tell everyone I meet to buy and hold Chainlink (ticker: LINK). Most of them are down bad. Idgaf. It will be even better if they sell early because then I can just say they should have done what I said.

>most of them are down bad.

I struggle with this dilemma of whether or not I should tell people about LINK. Only one person has bought after I told them about LINK, and seeing how their mood is affected by the price fluctuations is frustrating as it puts a strain in our relationship. While long term we know where it’s headed, these other people lack that confidence as they don’t spend time keeping up with the technology.

As a result they’re more emotionally susceptible to price volatility. Now if I ever mention it in conversation, I talk about what an oracle networks are and what they can do; Never explicitly mentioning Chainlink by name (ctrl + f = 0 results, just like in all those reports). If people are genuinely interested, they’ll keep asking questions.

Yes, 90% of people I meet still think crypto is a scam but some of them still bought some funny dogcoins. One friend bought Link at 40cents but he couldn't handle the stress and sold with like 10% profit. Most friends that eventually bought link bought when the hype was at peak. Before that they didn't really pay any attention when I talked about it lol

You can mention it, but try to make it seem like you didn't bring it up or bring it up organically. Then make it seem like you don't want to talk about it. Then roasties will really think you made a lot of money because they'll think you're trying to avoid showing off or drawing attention to yourself. I usually say "yeah, I made a little bit in 2021 but back then everyone was making loads" and then kind of look away awkwardly but still smiling. Yes, this. Keep it close to the vest. There are only 3 results:
1) People resent you for your "unfair" success
2) People want something from you
3) People think you are stupid for losing money in scam crypto, and look down upon you as an idiot

Pretend to stay within the herd, Only discuss with very trusted people. My wife doesn't know about the full extent of my crypto as she would have been worried everyday during 2022, even though my shit fell much less than her ARKK/tech stocks.
