im seeing all the AWS posts and it got me thinking, what went wrong?
Avalanche had a lot of promise initially but failed to capitalize on it

Eventually got outperformed by competitors like Polygon and is in a perpetual state of dumping

You understand the US federal govt has already made statements alluding to a blockchains primacy and dominion for jurisdictional purposes falling under the united states, via the usage of AWS for storage/compute.
Eth is already rumored to have a mempool filter being implemented for OFAC compliance because uncle sam said that primacy is belonging to the united states as the majority are controlled by AWS “nodes” for processing.
Have fun proving avax isnt a security and isnt fundamentally under the control of the US Govt.
>But, nuh uh
Oh yes you dumb faggots. AWS is the poison pill. You dipshits gleefully swallowed it to give yourselves clout.
Enjoy getting kek’d over the knee of uncle sam. Quite the decentralized shitchain you got there.

Polygon currently has tens of thousands of dApps and is a favorite for developers to build on

Also a lot of these dApps are some of the most popular and important dApps on the market

i won't buy any token that gets shilled on /biz/.
the only exception is matic because lets be real, curryjeets won the l2 race. if you pay jeets to shill your token its shit. but matic gets a pass because jeets do it for free out of national pride.
feels good after selling all my avax and other shit coins for cosmos shit coins. very comfy and never shilled on here.

First off see pic rel. Second, AWS has had a dedicated AVAX validator offering for awhile now and they still make up less than the liveness threshold for the network, this announcement doesn't really change anything. Third avalanche can easily be run on consumer hardware such as a laptop so if people don't like how AWS handles things they can simply switch to running it themselves until a better solution is found.
What this announcement is showing is mainstream adoption of Avalanche in a huge way by the biggest cloud compute/storage player and is aimed mostly at institutional/corporate use cases where flipping the bird to Uncle Sam isn't really important. It doesn't change the fact that the primary network is permissionless and can be decentralized to the extreme. This of course makes desperate baggies very upset and causes them to shit up our threads with inane bullshit.

Just looking at CT, it looks like this really was a wake up call for complacent METHheads and fanbois of other blockchains - theres a huge amount of disbelief and a lot of blue ticks saying "I never really looked at Avax before wow this is something". This will translate into pumps now with releases of new news/partnerships because now, finally, people will be watching this chain. Weird it took this to get the sort of public attention ADA or Sol have been getting for years. Well done John Wu I guess.
