It is below ICO price and it never pumped (while other projects 10xed). Supply is inflationary till 2030 and there is no network effect. Then there are FIFA sponsorships, bikeclubs and drones. Stay away.

>> No.53204898

The tech is top of the class but everything else from the foundation to the supply is completely fucked. Perhaps in 10 years it will run.

It's an MIT coin, so outside an actual LUNA/FTX tier black swan the odds of it actually going to 0 are low.
It's heavily fudded because the foundation are actual tranny retards and most people with stacks either sold at major losses or are bagholding like me.
Using it I've enjoyed the practically non-existent fees compared to eth.
The tech is good but until major plays are made for marketing it's a slow, slow burn.
Most people don't like long term and want to get-rich-quick whether it's through shitcoin gambling or mass shilling other coins (namely avax and matic)

The only reason I still hold my Algo bags is because of it's use case.

If there was literally anything better than algorand I would drop it in a heartbeat.
I can't believe such good tech is in the hands of such utter faggot retards.

Like I can understand being faggot retards who give out monopoly money to gay faggot causes, but imagine being a poor shitcoin and also being gay

Like nigga you're not even being paid to be globohomo, you're doing it for free!

Here's the ultimate blackpill: even if there is absolutely nothing wrong with the technology, there is no reason the coin itself will pump and make you rich. The coin's only utility is to pay transaction fees and vote in governance and it can do that at $10 or at $0.0001.

It's centralised - relay nodes are limited and permissioned

literally anything decentralized is better than it.
being totally centralized, it needs to out-compete shit like AWS. AWS is better than algorand.

>> No.53212455

yeah. it's true of all crypto though, the dollar value is entirely meaningless. it has to be high enough so nobody bribes / buys his way into over a third of the tokens (it's PoS), but that's it. algo at least works like it should (somehow that's an achievement in this space) and with Tealish from Tinyman there is a solid higher level language to write smart contracts for the AVM now. there is still a lot of innovation happening, i'll buy some more, even if it's just to contribute to the tech

>> No.53212532

>>53205678
yeah, if you use the default list of relay nodes that's true. it's a precaution against laggards slowing everything down. you can (not sure if it's configurable yet) point your node to a list of your own choosing. that allows independent relay networks. it's just that running one is expensive, so it's mostly universities and bigger entities running them for now
