The money supply is supposed to be reflecting the value of the assets the economy produces. It's the responsibility of the governments and central banks to make sure this actually happens. So you're right it is possible to create hyperinflation. As long as the money supply is managed responsibly I see no problem. Abusing the power to print creates problems as we know. Pensions in the UK nearly collapsed, banks are yet again getting another bail out by the BoE, Credit Suisse nearly going under getting a bail out. Laws brought in across the G20 in 2014 saying that banks now have to do bank bail-ins which effectively makes all banks stocks that people put their money in. Food scarcity is now going to be a problem in 2023 especially in places like Egypt where they are pretty much dependent on Ukraine crops, some African countries are nearly wholly dependent on Ukraine for food. Energy bills are set to double this April meaning more people are going to be spending their money on essentials causing a slowdown in consumer goods made even worse when western banks continue to do quantitative easing. It's in a death spiral, and all it takes for the whole thing to collapse is a competing global economy outside of the US dollar and a crack up boom where everyone drops their fiat money for commodities.
