I'm sitting on 100k cash right now. I was told to throw it into the stock market but I was also told by many that 2023 will be a huge recession.

What should i do? Not putting it in crypto. I already made this 100k from it and I don't feel like playing with it anymore.

Just for some proof, in 20 years, assuming the annual return of approximately 10% holds true (why wouldn't it, over 2 decades?) That 100k will become $672,749.99. Obviously, some of this is "lost" from inflation. Leave it in for another 10 years after that, and you've got 1.74 million. And that's assuming zero annual contributions to this invest

yes but your average 25 year old senile boomers don't know that. Your grandpa reads fancy words like 'oracles', 'smart conctracts', 'NFTs' etc. and translates it all to 'invest for free MONEY'.

The value is pure, 100% speculative. But speculative value is still value; this may seem illogical, but 100% speculative value markets are going to have inherent non-speculative value due to the difference in nature of said market from their mostly non-speculative counterparts. So it's actually impossible to get a 100% speculative value market, but it is a "100%" speculative value market. Think of it as like a casino with no house... this isn't actually accurate but that's how the investor sees it.

The value of speculative markets tend to dip during a recession or market crash, but this actually gives you a chance to gauge which coins are going to rise later. The coins which crash the softest are going to be the ones with the most holders, meaning more market activity after a recession.
