This is especially true when you consider that Bitcoin and crypto is fake, doesn't exist, and the interpretation of ownership lies behind passwords and keys that die with the owner.
If I die my lawyer reads my will to my wife who will know where i buried over six hundred ounces of gold so that she and our kid will be okay no matter what.
People that have the capacity to inflict violence on others will always have power over those that do not, but if i'm a retard who put all my purchasing power in crypto or NFT's or something equally retarded and fake, my death leaves nothing for my kids.

I store copies on my computer, dropbox, emails I sent to myself, on a piece of paper, and on an old laptop. That way I'll never lose them since there's so many places if one method becomes unavailable (like if my house burns down and the laptop and paper are destroyed). I don't store the entire key though. There's 6 characters missing and I have those committed to memory and in what part of the key they are located so I can fill them in if I ever need to recover. Not true. Your wallet can easily be linked back to you on most chains. This will simply worsen if you have more merchants you are interacting with.

If everyone uses crypto as a "store of value" then it stores no value. Currencies only have value if they're good at being a currency. Someone has to actually be using it for it to have any value. Anything else is a speculative bubble.

Anyone worth traveling to and investing time and money infiltrating their homes will already have security.
All you need are some bulletproof windows and install a solid metal door frame to hold metal doors from being kicked in.
ITs not that expensive and you would not be able to get in quietly/quickly enough to get to me in the first place.
If somehow everyone decided not to call the police after 10 minutes of you physically breaking down my walls and my phone was dead and could not be charged somehow, you would end up on the business end of my AR-15
