actually no, in most cases buying an nft is not "buying a picture" unless that picture can be recreated with blockchain data from a full node. in actuality you are buying the provenance of a piece of art, it's inherently a social contract, NFTs are just the first technological method to allow the establishment and permissionless secondary trading of such assets. in the case of milady the images are completely centralized, the token just points to a url on the miladymaker server. this is fine because the token is a social contract between the owner and the issuer (the creator or rightful seller of the art if the NFT is legitimate) that shows the provenance of that artwork and allows for resale of it on secondary markets. the image itself can just be right click saved.
