Well no, in our case they have the right to dismiss you at any time during those 3 months, but you'd have to generally fuck up to get fired from Walmart like that. Most people have been fired for assault or theft, rather than poor work ethic. Even people that can't get along with the HR people or front end managers for example, get slightly reduced hours (a no-no - this counts as "retaliation") or shitty tasks assigned to them until they get fed up and quit.
