To which mr. Gay responded with some like 'get fucked we design our shit to be the industry standard'. He then asked the crowd 'u guys good with that?' to which everyone cheered lmao.
All of his autistic mannerisms this event has solidified him as a man of pure autistic drive and willpower to create HIS and only his ideal concept of the future of crypto. There was even a point where Eric alluded to the fact that Sergey's ideas might not be the most financially beneficial, but again, Sergey autistically disagreed and repeated one of his mantras of "we're gunna just keep on building what we're building" etc..

I love him so much bros

How exactly does the LINK token gain more utilization without increasing in value? The idea the value of the token doesn't increase with use is not just dumb, its braindead retarded.

>You're making the assumption that Link token gets used by a big company and therefore you get rewarded

it doesnt matter who wants to use the services Chainlink provide. They must buy the LINK token to use the services, a bit entity or not. Chainlink service usage is increasing rapidly, look at any of the slides from smartcon documenting their growth from 2020-->2022.

That was a very memorable moment.

But it made me feel a completely different emotion.
We spent 5 years constantly watching the project of someone else from the starting point until he reached exceptional success and in that time we were lazy and didn't accomplish anything on our own.

Yes we will be very wealthy, but is that really all we wanted?
I see the example of someone from /biz/ creating the next Google in real life and cannot stop wondering: what could we have created with our own efforts had we done the same?

Is it alright to live a lazy life?
Eric Schmidt's last comment about living an exceptional life gave me a similar strong emotion as Steve Jobs' on death.

I feel a dissatisfaction at watching charts to live from trading and investing while my time is running out and constantly wonder:
Is it what my life was supposed to be?

No value in retaining the token without staking and too small point of contact if only developers need to buy Chainlink to pay for services.
Delaying staking to December wasn't a very smart move considering Eric put a lot effort into shilling the coin.
It can still be recovered from if they make a strong media campaign the moment market recovers, but yeah it looks shitty.

And do what?

Why did Sergey decide he wanted to create oracles for smart contracts and make it his life purpose for decades?

In one of his tweets he said that passion comes from doing something for a longer time and becoming good at it.
I don't believe this would work if you don't have a reason to keep doing something for years.
Without a purpose you would give up after a few weeks or month on it.

The only reason I managed to get to my current situation with wealth is because I had such a purpose to stop being a wage slave at all costs and never experience the same suffering again.
But that's an insufficient purpose to create a business after making it.

Why did he want to connect blockchains with the world?

>The only reason I managed to get to my current situation with wealth is because I had such a purpose to stop being a wage slave at all costs and never experience the same suffering again.

I get that feel too well. I'm on the same page. Anger carried me this far. But, now my life is on the up, and the anger doesn't need to be there anymore. The anger has subsided along with my motivation. So I find myself looking for, some other source of inspiration. It's a shame, as one of my old managers put it, I'm at my best when I'm trying to beat someone.

I don't know how one goes about finding that inspiration. I've done some soul searching, psychedelics, meditation, deprivation tank, hypnosis; but I haven't quite found that inspiration yet. But the practice, especially hypnosis, has helped me accept myself at least. Not sure what to do about the inspiration thing yet. It's like chasing a dragon.

people are raking Sergey over the coals for being nervous, but it was really Schmidt who kinda dropped the ball here. Sergey does everything he can to avoid saying anything about price action or forming monopolies over the space. There's a massive disconnect when I read anons bloviating like this. While I get why some feel this way, the truth is the overwhelming majority of link holders, even early buyers, haven't hit a level of wealth yet that they can start shifting towards the top of maslow's hierarchy entirely. I feel like this is where a lot of the bitterness on here comes from, everyone pretends they're a 100k OG but the reality is even most og's are only in mid to low 5 digits of link, and many since that point are looking at far less, so there's a level of disdain for those of you who nonchalantly act like figuring it out after you've made it is some horrible struggle. The truth is while for some it will be, for many they'll be content to simply not have to slave away, and seeing complaints about what's next when for a good portion it may never come, is maddening.

I don't know why you all seem to think that all of us just buy this shit and sit on our hands. Over the period of the last few years, I changed careers, started making better income, gained a lot of wisdom from the markets, and my life in general is on the up.

After having spent half a decade non stop working to reach this goal and sacrificed many things my current desire is to finally be allowed some time to relax which I hope to attain in a few months.
An interesting thing I discovered is that once I left my work to focus on my investments I spent more time learning how to invest, trade and also on Chainlink.
Maybe this is the answer.
If you remove the things stealing your time you don't like to do, after some time you will do the things you need to do and later that you enjoy doing.

I hope time will answer this question for me.
This video from Steve Jobs has been a guide for me for some time.

>Would I do what I am about to do today if this was the last day in my life?
This question made me quit my toxic workplace after a burnout and face the fears of not having a stable income source and sacrificing my social status.

>>51724929
You will understand one day that chasing wealth is a meaningless pursuit.
The only result you will attain is dying a lonely death without having accomplished anything if you make it your only life purpose.

From Alexander the Great's 3 last wishes:

>I want my physicians to carry my coffin because people should realize that No doctor on this earth can really cure anybody. They are powerless and cannot save a person from the clutches of death. So let not people take life for granted.

>The second wish of strewing gold, silver and other riches on the path to the graveyard is to tell people that Not even a fraction of gold will come with me. I spent all my life with the greed for power, earning riches but cannot take anything with me. Let people realize that it is a sheer waste of time to chase wealth.

>And about my third wish of having my hands dangling out of the coffin, I wish my people to know that I came empty handed into this world and empty handed I go out of this world”. With these words, the king closed his eyes. Soon he let death conquer him and breathed his last.

The first part of the story:

>Alexander, after conquering many kingdoms, was returning home. On the way, he fell ill and it took him to his death bed. With death staring him in his face, Alexander realized how his conquests, his great army, his sharp sword and all his wealth were of no use.

>He now longed to reach home to see his mother’s face and bid her adieu. But, he had to accept the fact that his sinking health would not permit him to reach his distant homeland. So, the mighty conqueror lay prostrate and pale, helplessly waiting to breathe his last. He called his generals and said, “I will depart from this world soon, I have three wishes, please carry them out without fail.” With tears flowing down their cheeks, the generals agreed to abide by their king’s last wishes.

>“My first desire is that”, said Alexander, “My physicians alone must carry my coffin.” After a pause, he continued, “Secondly, I desire that when my coffin is being carried to the grave, the path leading to the graveyard be strewn with gold, silver and precious stones which I have collected in my treasury”. The king felt exhausted after saying this. He took a minute’s rest and continued. My third and last wish is that both my hands be kept dangling out of my coffin”.

>The people who had gathered there wondered at the king’s strange wishes. But no one dared bring the question to their lips. Alexander’s favorite general kissed his hand and pressed them to his heart. “O king, we assure you that all your wishes will be fulfilled. But tell us why do you make such strange wishes?” At this Alexander took a deep breath and said: “I would like the world to know of the three lessons I have just learnt.

Personally I think that meeting exceptional people is what allows us to unlock our true potential.
This can be done through books or youtube videos in our age and allows us to learn from many important figures.
