Now their main source of income (Oil) has not reflected any inflationary development in its trading price for the longest time. Energy, mainly Oil, has remained ridiculously cheap.
And it isn't in their interest to just sell more units to ease the pressure. Their supply isn't endless and the demand isn't infinitely high, especially not if there was an actual economical downturn.

Oil will eventually have to find fair value.
