The 20th National Congress of the CCP is next month and they only hold those every 5 years to decide what to do next year and appoint people to new leadership positions. China used to have only 2 term limits and Xi Jinping has served 2 terms now, but 4 years ago Xi decided to become dictator by expanding the limit. Competing factions within the CCP surely started seething because of that.
