>imagine making such stupid financial decisions that you need the government to print more money just to stay above water, all while criticizing the poor for being poor, and not giving a shit that your bailout by the government literally makes the poor poorer via inflation.

I have no fucking tolerance for inflation-dependent bulls. You're all a bunch of inconsiderate infantile self absorbed impulsive losers.

I don’t agree with everything the professor says here…

The main point I do agree with is that the last 2 years were the real policy mistake. Probably the biggest mistake of our lifetime. What’s happening now is just the medicine. What goes up, must come down.

Do you think this was all one big accident? A little oopsie? You really, REALLY think they didn't know about the mess they were creating? Come on man. It wasn't a mistake, things went exactly to plan.

been saying the same thing for weeks. This is the first time i've seen anyone else mention it. Inflation is mostly done. commodities and energy are mostly at or close to pre-pandemic levels. it will just take 6 months for it to be repriced into goods being made right now.

housing/shelter takes a little longer... but keeping rates about here will already decimate the mass of top buyers so job is done. the fed can just sit on their hands with interest rates around here for now, but they seem to be pushing extra hard
