60toz is the suicide stack for silver. Best case scenerio we only pump to $100/toz, worst case SHTF and it's the only money left standing until they get society to beg for a new CBDC. To start with make sure to focus on keeping it recognizable and 1toz or under. Our grandfathers used dimes, quarters, half dollars, and dollars to buy everyday things with. When the current economic system finishes imploding you will want recognizable fractional to barter with. Don't neglect several months of food, water, and other supplies as well in your stacking.

Hello JIDF.

Bars like in OP's pic, especially sealed like that from the manufacturer, are FAAAAAR easier to sell than obscure numismatics for inflated prices. Any random individual will be faaaaaaar more interested in buying a sealed Valcambi slightly over spot than some obscure 500 year old tiny gold coin that's hundreds or thousands of times over spot. Sealed bars like OP's are also easier to sell than brand new gold 1oz coins. They simply instill a sense of trust and legitimacy which coins do not.

You, being a jew, will of course disagree with the above.

Imagine all of the kids in this thread shitting on pms, ofc pm cannot be seen as a investment compared to sticks, crypto etc but that is, until now. Pms will have its time during our life time and the paper price manipulation will come to an end. BRIC states will go back to the gold standard during the coming economical collapse and in the end, so will the coming bank issued crypto currency. The old system will die in our lifetime, the great reset will happen, and pms is your bridge over to the new world. Just my opinion but holy shit how blind can zoomers be of the actual state of the world economy at the moment, even talking about another bullrun atm is beyond ridiculous. But keep on shitting on pms performance as a investment, it was never ment as one, until now.

And look, crypto is great and all and the "pms end the fed" thread are rather cringe, but when the music stops playing you will wish you had some. It will happen over night or a few days, you wont be able to trade the price, brokers will shut down, bullion seller wont export, youre in or your out, simple as that. That is, when the music stops playing. If you do not transfer atleast a part of your crypto gains into pms while its still legal to do so, you will probably miss out.

More recent coins like krugerrands, eagles/buffalos, and pic-related are all very common and well-known worldwide. If you have trouble selling these, then you'll have problems with the bars as well.

This. Gold (as well as silver to a lesser degree) has just been a pretty stable store of value for millennia. The world has never seen such a bubble of debt as we have today though, so the fundamentals are more bullish than ever before. For now, the world is still flocking into dollars as a safe haven, keeping strong downward pressure on PM prices, but I don't think that's very likely to last too much longer. Another decade, at the most, I'd say. The move towards the Great Reset could dramatically accelerate any day though, with the instability we're seeing in the debt market recently, IMHO.

Just get what you can, a months labor back in the day if Im not mistakes was around 1oz of silver which is crazy. Also most "experts" claim that pms are undervalued by about 40x based on demand, mining costs increasing and lack of deposits "unless in Africa which China claims within an hour" and the hardcore manipulation of the paper price. Like I said, get what you can, its always a good idea to split your stack and if there would ever be a time coming to hold some pms its now.

This 10x, glad Im not alone seeing things as they "are". The hold chart is a Mess atm, you will get a amazing dip coming which ppl should use to stack as much as they can. Also silver domination against gold are looking good chartwose so of you cant afford gold, just get silver. We are in this together because even if it will be tomorrow or in a decade there has to be a reset of the old debt system because its doomed to break and was made to do so. Im personally expecting some kind of bank hack, the west will go banans for a few months, then they will roll out the new bakning stable cool based on real world assets and energy exports party. Yeah, BRICS have been talking about introducing a currency based on a basket of commodities for a while. I'm afraid western leaders want to base their new CBDCs on debt though. I just really hope enough western citizens realize how debt-based systems are designed to destroy upward mobility and impoverish the middle class before that happens, so that maybe our leaders will be forced to change their plans to avoid a revolution. The biggest obstacle seems to be that most western citizens, (unlike eastern ones, China has been actively encouraging their citizens to buy gold) don't currently own any gold or silver, so such a transition seems very unpalatable to them since re-monetizing real money would of course necessitate a large transfer of wealth to those who do hold PMs already. This is why I shill for PMs, because I hope enough westerners accumulate enough for themselves that they won't mind returning to a monetary system that limits the powers of banks and governments. I think the current drop in their price is a great thing if westerners use it to accumulate for their future.

I would generally avoid taking on more debt right now. Still, 0% does make it sound attractive. However, buying bullion on credit is almost always more expensive, and the prices seem to be in a downtrend in the short-term anyway, so I don't know if the odds are really in your favor. My guess is you'll be slightly better off just accumulating with cash.

>> No.51601535

Absolutely agree, one thing I find interesting in regards to the topic of westernes not realising the underlying value of holding pms, is that most immigrants hold it in clear dominance. All of the pol talk aside of how the west has been flooded, the fact remains that those from war struck countries know the crisis value of owning gold and silver, mostly in jewerly and then take that with them to their new home. My gf is from Iraq so I have some insight, its almost a norm in middle eastern families to put parts of their paycheck regularly into pms. Obviously its a show of ego thingy attached to it but they are just as aware of the value of having it hidden in the closet when bad times comes. Also the reason why I shill pms to westernes, the pig has become fat and lazy but make no mistake, slaughter will come sooner or later. Its better to be ready than not.

>> No.51601591

Holding cash atm aside from pms is also key, make no mistake. If a bank run sort of event would occur, in my own personal scenario, a bank hack. Expect atms to be empty within a day or two, people will hoard cash short term as they did with toilet paper during the start of the pandemic "cute".

>> No.51601735

Yeah, from what I've heard its really only western europeans and North Americans who eschew gold and silver. Even Germans have enough collective memory of the Weimar Republic to understand the value of real money. Indians of course have always valued gold, and Russia has been really stockpiling it recently. We've been lucky in the west to not have suffered as much lately from the perils of fiat currency, but I'm afraid we will have to learn our lesson the hard way.
And yes, the way the bond market has been acting lately, with all the warmings we've been getting from billionaires and big banks about illiquidity in the financial system, I agree that its a good idea to have some cash in hand as well.

Waking up 5 times each night staring at charts hoping not to get liquidated on trades in a already controlled market now correlating 95% with the Nasdaq and overvalued tech stocks chartwise has far exceeded its expire date. Institutions now rule the crypto market, the days of the wild west is over. Ofc you can still make loads of money on smallcaps and top 10 but Im very bearish long term, the world is not what it used to be and the crypto choire is made up of fanatics, not pragmatics. I dont want to give financial advice but since you ask, you should not look into catching a falling knife, rather go short with low leverage. SOL for example is looking at a 80-90% decline, ADA a 40% from current levels, this is only based upon macro chart readings. The only silver coins worth buying are those that remind us that we're wasting our time in this shithole and will probably die here.

i just checked the price of spam and its almost 3.50 usd a can here now. the spamflation is real. i am losing out holding gold vs spam, baked beans (with mini sausages), spaghetti, canned stew. its over. society has collapsed

>> No.51606502

you wait for a gold pump and you liquidate it for dollars or you sell it during times like this when your other assets are at trough valuations and you don't want to sell them but need spending cash.
the benefit of gold is its low correlation to other assets and relative price stability. it's also good if you live in a 3rd world shithole where the currency gets devalued often.
gold is for rich people that want a tax-free source of cash or as a diversifier for when the tenants stop paying or the stock market crashes. it's generally not a great investment for poor people but you can make it work for you.

Is your gold in two coins, or you went with smaller so it's easier to sell parts at a time?
I've been considering a 1oz coin but might go with sovs or 1/4ths instead

The premiums on fractional 1/2, 1/4, 1/10, and 1/20, and especially 1 gram coins are not really worth it. Get the sov instead, or get one of these (it comes out to the same cost as a 1 oz krugerrand).
