What you fail to understand is that working folks right now have the best opportunity in history to accumulate the precious metals that have always and everywhere been the most desirable and durable form of money. So cherished was it in ancient times, that people still regularly find hidden accumulations 2000 years old! So cherished IS IT STILL that Central Banks, the most elite of all financial insiders in the world, are stacking it today.

Not sure why you would take the time to try to demoralize people you never met. Maybe you are being paid? Or maybe you are just a sad and bitter person? Either way, it won't work because history is so much stronger than your low-effort sniping.

I hope you find your way to the light of kindness someday.

The business of retail sales of goods = selling goods for more than you pay for them. That's it. The only alternative to this plan is to go out of business. I can't understand why people are so appalled when the LCS does EXACTLY what every other retail seller of goods does everywhere and always. The dealer tries to maximize his profit by pushing the spread. Competition in the market keeps the spread under control. If anyone thinks they can narrow the spread and stay in business, by all means go for it. Customers will flock to you. But I will bet you can't do it.

Prices tend towards the highest level at which the entire stock of goods can be sold. If people stop buying at those prices, the prices will come down. If people continue to buy at those prices, the prices will remain the same or go up until a surplus of stock remains. Expecting retailers to sell at less than the highest price they can get for their stock is absurd. Expecting them to buy for higher prices than they must is equally absurd.

Real tired of seeing all this "fellow ape" shit everytime I go on plebbit to autistically look at pictures of coins. It's so fucking cringe. These are grown as men saying "this is the way fellow apes". How did they manage to make silver stacking be cringe. Anyone who talks like that is probably vaccinated and gets offended by the nword. People like that sicken me. The day they start doing that with gold, I'll kill myself. They'd buy reddit mascot silver rounds if they could. These are the times of subhuman cucks that bought that 2017 negress coin.

Like this version better than the one that had picrel on the back. I love picrel don't get me wrong. Which is why I think it should be it's own separate coin. That way there's too new pepe coins.
I wonder what the original Chad guy would look like on the janny Sovereign as well.

Platinum performance will depend on economic growth. If the global economy gets nuked, platinum will fall with it. If the global economy staggers through the mess and recovers, platinum might be very big due to fuel cell tech. Silver and gold are safer. This is why nobody has any business buying gold unless you've already paid off your house, car, and have 500k in the bank. Gold is literally the "I don't need this cash again in my life" buy that would be the worst fucking idea to sell since you will lose that $100 premium per ounce since your only out are LCS.

The grifters on YouTube acting like gold is "your better bank" are so full of shit its unreal. If you were to buy 20oz of gold as a working person and then decide you want to get out to buy a car, you'll pay 2k for that in "bank fees" when you lose that premium to your lcs.

>> No.51590560

The PM hype men are often correct but woefully wrong on the timing. Not advising on proper risk management and budgeting when considering PM purchases is a major disservice to the broader public. There will no doubt come a day when you will be rewarded for being outside of the banking system, but like you said you still have to plan out and live your life first. I do believe that people should have at least an ounce of gold and maybe 100oz of silver as the foundation of any investment portfolio you want to put together, though.

The problem is that the value of gold is not something that makes sense in the modern era. We hold onto the idea of its value almost out of tradition, but it no longer makes sense. Before you might hold onto some gold and then during a time of poor economic downturn your by then adult children could take it to the market and buy some chickens and feed.

Money and wealth have taken on such an abstract and superficial kind of meaning, with the value of some products being based entirely on whims of a few or a passing trend. You can't financially recover with it, you can't be sure to have that wealth in the future. So much has changed in how things are valued that purchasing precious metals to hold onto is just quaint. No one doing so has a significant amount that it would ever do them good. Now it only makes sense as an investment, but it makes for a poor one.

Gold, silver, doesn't matter. We've reached a point where raw materials are treated as disposable and throw out as garbage when compared to the things they're used to create. It's just a way for people to feel better when they're paranoid the world is ending and have a hard time understanding what's going on, at least they still have that gold for when shit goes bad.

This is all nonsense. In the physical reality we all inhabit you have a glut of financial assets/paper that can never actually be translated into real tangible wealth. This is another way of saying there is a shortage of resources that will be actualized via bond defaults and currency devaluation. Real value will absolutely reassert itself. The Fed has no room to raise interest rates despite needing to do so because of inflation being higher than the risk free rate, and this is going to spell disaster if this is allowed to continue for too long. The only thing propping this whole shit-economy up is the bond market, nothing else. And without the Fed stepping in to buy up bonds yields will skyrocket. MMT and all of this fantasy valuations you are talking about will come to an end eventually. MMT only works when it is overlaying a functional economy and we are on the cusp of economic disconnect right here right now.

You're arguing in bad faith. I didn't say they don't have a car, I said they might want to get a new one or need a new one.

I was arguing against the trend toward shilling pm's at working people who have car payments and mortgages, people who aren't liquid either significant savings. The major issue is that you aren't simply "moving your money into somewhere else," you're taking a loss on premiums unless you wait long enough for the spot price to offset it, and considering the fed is raising rates in their war to strengthen the dollar, well, to answer your question, cash is probably king for a while. No, real estate would be dumb right now since Powell literally just said a housing reset is needed. The stock market is a gamble, of course.

i buy and sell scrap gold but the key is having a good bankroll. if you want to get good stuff including gold rolexes, interesting bullion, and other high end jewelry that you can sell for a big premium you need a lot of cash.

sometimes you get someone with a safe full of inherited jewelry and you need 100k + in one deal and if you're going to be seen as reliable you need funds on hand at all times.

pic related is a guy in my counrty but i dont know how he has such access to capital because he has about 10 million in stock at all times.

The fed can raise rates but every corporation, state and local government and even the federal government will get blown the fuck out by rollover risk.
The death trap of lowering interest rates is that as they are lowered, people can afford X amount of interest payments. But when rates rise they are instantly bust the second they need to issue more bonds. That is a contraction in spending which will lead to the deflationary death spiral we all know about as credit is tightened, asset prices fall, spending falls, unemployment rates rise, welfare claims rise, tax receipts fall, housing prices fall, wealth effect evaporates etc.
Nasty nasty nasty things are all set to break apart, and even the boomers, Xers and Millenials are all tapped out and essentially worthless in terms of being capitalized consumers who could spurn some economic activity.

I found 1 ozt Pd Maples for sale on a web site for $ 780. All their other prices seem legit, but in their palladium section they seem to confuse Pd and Pt. Even for Pt, their prices are low. Tried to call for confirmation, but it goes to a message service and they want your number to call back. I'd order a round for a test, but am concerned they'd figure it out and charge again to make up to the real cost.

When the bond market breaks. The debt market is propping up hundreds of trillions of dollars worth of ponzi-tier-purchasing power.
That is the catalyst that will mathematically be destroyed as interest rates are artificial or inflation rages into unforseen levels and the bond market is defaulted on through devaluation.
Many market participants are helping to prop up the bond market who would not do so if they were private investors. Rising interest rates are a sign that people are looking to dump as much of this trash paper as they can. Only the Fed is large enough to step in and buy up these garbage assets
