I'll set up and run a friendly sub-community where we can retain people but also pipe the drama away from the main groups if people think it causes problems. I unironically think it's a much better solution than having devs that can potentially produce incredible amounts of value get banned or frozen out of the community.

If anything the end game of PoW in a world where it becomes the dominant source securing value ends up with some kind of equilibrium between actors(countries, or similarly powerful entities) where there's some kind of tacit or explicit agreement to stop scaling and limit energy use.
The amount of energy and hardware would only need to be significant enough to keep out attackers. And the agreement would ultimately probably be enforced by violence, essentially things devolve towards how they've always been imo. No way the earth becomes the matrix where we just farm as much energy as possible and put it all towards competing against each other to find blocks.
PoW is a unique way to bootstrap other future consensus methods though.

Sort of, but it's still kind of an unsolved problem for now and 10 figures of losses to prove it. Custody is a big issue(although definitely solvable if not already solved more or less imo)

Eh, now that is especially complicated. I actually co-founded what was probably the first crpyto project related to that topic in a previous life, a very long time ago at this point(didn't work out, we were poor, no funding/no VCs then among other issues but had an actual integration of tokenized reputation on a major exchange in 2014 among unofficial integrations via duct tape and bots on twitter and such). It's an interesting topic, but very complicated and 'truthful natures' is questionable at least in my experience(but one of the interesting parts is how tokenization can incentivize or even enforce truth).

As it stands now, nothing is particularly censorship resistant. It's more a matter of being relatively more censorship resistant than others. We'll see how it goes for eth post-merge. But I mean Kadena is going to be able to fly under the radar for now and see what happens. Possibly adapt in a way that improves censorship resistance if they want to. Will absolutely need to lose all ties to the US though for that to happen realistically.

Agree, but also it's a matter of design. Can avoid making the same mistakes in the future. Also why I'd expect constant change and evolution from crypto in the future and wouldn't necessarily expect any L1 to become king long term. But if one can evolve and adapt it's possible.

idea is to eventually make some kind of tensorflow-like framework for tokenomics and algorithmic markets (self-adjusted supply from a price function). i think there are some voting schemes that have been overlooked. for example, quadratic voting can be applied at many layers of ballots (i.e. rather than on actor basis, it can be done on outcomes or group of outcomes) but it can also be generalized, including "squared voting" which does the opposite of quadratic voting by rewarding late sellers. both can be combined to create markets that are "normed" entanglement where the output is subsequently used in self-referential distribution thus leading to potentially interesting reputation systems. havent explored much but im pretty sure there are still many other ideas

i dont see why L1 tokens are even needed. fiats work because they can enforce themselves with laws but it doesnt make sense in a decentralized context. icp is actually one of the least foolish tokenomics in this regard, since it pays for actually useful computations. projects like https://github.com/Kindelia/Kindelia are interesting as they allow dapps to directly pay miners with their own tokens.

I haven't watched or read Naruto, but I do know that Naruto was the one who copied elements from HxH rather than the other way around.
But even without having seen Naruto I can safely say it's nothing like it, and extremely unique. Although you wouldn't necessarily know it from the first couple of arcs.

I mostly read romance. I say mostly because the day before yesterday I read a manga book on databases and that wasn't romance. I really do only read romance though, as a substitute for real world friends and romantic partners because it's too terrifying to get close to people that I'd rather push them away if they even try, but manga and anime can never hurt.
Bonus points for supernatural/occult elements in the show, ideally yuri vampires because blood sucking and the matter of being physically dependent on someone being available is very cute and possessive. Het/yaoi also acceptable at times, there's only so much yuri manga out there after all.

HxH has one the greatest and more unique romances ever written, manga or otherwise. But if romance is your thing it's hard to recommend sitting through multiple arcs that aren't like that, even though that arc is when the story really becomes amazing.
On average I tend to like josei stuff the most I'd say, so I'm not too different. But there's not that much of it outside a few popular ones.
