copper prices range from region to region since its such a common and widely used resource. That being said i don't know where you live and i don't think you are willing to ship tons of copper from china, which will be regarded as a import of goods and therefore you will have to get a merchants license, so your only choice is to sell that copper to someone else in that area. And guess what copper over there is not 6k per ton, so yeah that's why i said its not useful.

It's just used more oftenly in bulk, think copper clad boards, inductors and transformers.

Gold is in tiny amounts in wire bonding and ENIG finishing, but the commodity itself is high purity gold or some shit like that, which is highly expensive
