But I don't think they are in this announcement. I think this is about Institutions. Avalanche subnets can talk to each other via things like stargate or other traditional lock/mint bridging technologies. Subnets do not automatically trust other subnets unlike ICP to avoid cascading liveness/safety failures which is good design. Protocol level communication is being actively developed and isn't rolled out yet but is coming.
