Another thing is that institutions that do own gme can create lending programs in which they stock can be borrowed and shorted over and over again. What is stopping the institutions with 20mil+ shares each from lending them out. They have no legal obligation to report their lending program books.

Plus, if the float is shorted x5 over like 4chan and reddit cried for a year, that is x5 more of a float hedgefunds can use to short. Making the original task of dealing with one floats problem and multiplying every actions requirements by five.

Ontop of all this, GMEs NFT marketplace is brining in less revenue a day than a mcdonalds employee and GameStop just burned through another 180million in cash for their failed venture.
