when I go to weddings I just smile and have a good time but honestly I feel bad for men in the arrangement.
However when it comes to weddings, a lot of people have it paid for at least partially by parents, or even if they don't, they get presents that pretty much cover the cost. Each person should give at least like $100-$200 as a present (or buy something of a similar value), so it works out just about even.
But yeah....there is still the honeymoon, still the engagement ring, still the years of nagging to buy new useless shit, move into a bigger and more expensive home in a more expensive city....then to top it off she can just wake up one day and on a whim decide she isn't happy and take half of it, and you will be stuck with alimony and child support for 10+ more years until the kids turn 18.
