Corporations basically seek to offload extra costs of hiring and training on the universities by demanding degrees, often simply as a nearly arbitrary way to sift through applications quicker. There are a lot of jobs where a degree really isn’t necessary and displaying some elementary knowledge or skill in an interview process would be enough to bring somebody in and onboard them with extra training. Declare bankruptcy and fuck up your credit, but dig yourself out of the hole. Its fair to current debtors and past debtors who paid off their debt.

Lack of bankruptcy protections incentivizes lenders to provide financing for any kind of stupid degree you want. Easy financing means colleges can raise tuition rates, which means people need more loans, which means the colleges can raise rates again. The money goes into the bloated administrative jobs we all know and despise, the quality of the education obviously hasn't gone up. Providing bankruptcy protections to student borrowers will be the first step of unfucking this racket which has become a breeding ground for the worst ideological infections in society, and a slush fund for corrupt politicians.

Issuing debt temporarily increases the money supply.
Paying back debt decreases the money supply back to its original level (over time)
Canceling debt effectively locks in the money supply increase and frees up payment funds which then contribute to more inflation.

Therefore, canceling debt increases inflation. The more debt canceled, the higher the effect.
