No, it was found on mainnet first, but the testnet is what ended up breaking. Majority of mainnet nodes still maintain the original ledger, so it was spared. There is the recovery plan from IOHK, but not up to date with the current news surrounding saving the testnet ledger.

Aside from that, there was actually a system-breaking bug that was found. It completely bricked their testnet after they said it "passed" their internal checks. They can't use that testnet anymore (which they've used for years now), they had to quickly make another one.

That's what the testnet is for, but it is shit that it happened. A stream by some stake pools were talking about the need for more communication between IOHK and the community. Community is the one that found the bug, would be very beneficial for the whole ecosystem if the community had a say in node releases.
