What do you think anons, does a stablecoin decide?

Lmao, as if Circle had any choice.

Had they sided with EthW people would have dumped that shit into ETH immediately and they'd be left with a Chinese controlled chain.
Lyn is starting to sound really fucking retarded, beginning to doubt everything "she's" been putting out on macro too if she can't game theorise this easy case.

there was never room for multiple pow chains coexisting
smart for eth to have figured thus out and they depend more on being a programmable crypto rather than having to cater to the hard core elements on decentralization
anyone with brains would go with pos eth and know that pow eth only exists to extract value for miners nothing else
so whatever these companies decide it was already set they didn't change the outcome

I wonder what's wrong with linkies. They act like Ethereum is a token running on Chainlink.

usdc doesnt decide "which eth is right"

let say eth2 happens and usdc say "nah we'll stay on ethpow" and only redeem there

>usdc stays at $1 on ethpow
>usdc crashes to $0 on eth2
>people inenivitely use a new stable coin on eth2 and usdc fades to nothing as its on a deadchain

nothing else happens beyond the first few minutes of volatility (which would be minimized by usdc giving any notice of decision)

Its their coin obviously they wont double the supply to run on both chains.

It kind of is. Ethereum is just a computer someone can build something on, and they pay in Ether to use it. That something you build, however, has no outside connectivity. Just like how if you were to build something Avalanche or Matic or Solana etc. But guess what, Chainlink is running on all of them. Now if you think a little bit deeper, what is one thing all of these chains have in common? They all have active Chainlink node operators. What does this imply? One could assume that because the node operators are active on all of these chains, that they should be able to communicate amongst themselves. Oh did you notice how all of these also have a native Chainlink token? It’s as if the Chainlink network was designed with out of the box with modularity in mind and infinitely scalable. As if it was to be a central figure, in the middle, but not a singular figure but a decentralized figure made up of a bunch of other figures that come to consensus, capable of giving you any information you want in a trustless and secure manner, as long as you’re willing to pay for it. It’s almost like they figured out the end goal before everyone else. Off chain compute, CCIP, price feeds all being built with ways to save as much gas as possible. Why do you think that is? Why is Chainlink creating functionality for everyone with the goal to save gas? Because if it is not published by a chainlink node and a contract isn’t chainlink, then it isn’t legitimate. Why? What is the purpose of an Oracle? How can the many, become one?

Or, more accurately
>ETH2 deploys Wrapped USDC
>USDC locked on ETHPoW as WUSDC is minted on ETH2
>Bridge exploited within 4 days

>> No.50976354

USDC isn't deciding shit. If they stated that they would only support the wrong chain, the community would instantly dump all USDC and the project would be dead, because no one cares about a stablecoin on a chain with no other users.

>> No.50976416

>>50976314
Bridges are dead bud. An undertaking as serious as the eth merge wouldn’t happen if a typical bridge was being used for asset transfer and creation on a new chain as you’re implying. You don’t trust ANYONE with that kind of value.
