it was easy in 2018/2019 to come to this conclusion and I was posting about it on /biz/ and sold from 11k to 13k.
you can look at the charts.
bitmex was the the main derivatives exchange and its trading volume hit ATH while spot volume didn't grow at all. all the while asuka posting was psyopping the plebs.

Now with more fiat onramps, dexes and more derivatives exchanges it's easy to get lost in the data but you would look for the same, degens margin trading with btc/eth/alts as collateral borrowing stablecoins to buy more crypto. an echo bubble of the last year.
if history is to repeat then expect stablecoin yields to go up from now and derivatives volume to go up with spot volume staying about the same.

Monetary policy adapts to crypto market conditions to try and give the illusion that they control it. The Fed is absolutely TERRIFIED of Bitcoin and crypto in general, to the point where they have resorted to crashing the stock market and creating hyper inflationary situations just to pretend like they have it under their control. In reality crypto operates mostly outside of tradfi at the moment with very little influence across these markets. Its a massive psyop and when the curtain falls shit is going to get fucking wild.
