Part of it is the sheer narcissism to think that you might be able to spook the market with posts like these and make your fantasies come true. Also, if he talks shit about enough crypto exchanges, it's possible one or two of them might just go under coincidentally, and he can claim it as 'proof' he knew all along.

Same thing with the 'fatal flaw' in segwit he predicted back in 2018. He's just hoping someone else finds a serious enough security bug related to segwit, at which time he can say 'see, I told you so, this proves I'm a great security researcher and supports my case that I was the original creator of this project that knew better!'

For all the threats made by Craig about BCH, it's hashrate is x2.5 times higher and is doing better. Again, you notice a pattern: Craig makes bold claims and threats, nothing happens.
