Trucking is rough friendO. Most of my new drivers quit, because I send them away to drop cargo and they don’t come back home until the weekend . Yes, you will only drive for 10 hours top a day, but you will wait plenty hours for cargo to be loaded up. By the way, companies are paying Shit for cargo and Gas is really expensive…. Even then my drivers are making 1500 a week on the low (I paid them % of the weekly gross).

You don't need a CDL for a hot shot truck, which is any vehicle with GCVWR below 26k lbs, as long as you stay within state lines and don't run hazardous materials.

Give it a trial run doing UberEATS or Walmart spark deliveries. Noon to midnight, and you have to sleep in your car. It's not quite the same, but it's one of the few jobs you can at least simulate and try before you buy.
