i am writing an imageboard right now which will be hosted on arweave with mirrors that requires a wallet to sign at least 0.1 ETH to post (and an equitable amount of bitcoin) in an effort to create a less bot riddled board
i understand ppl will seethe about it being only eth and btc sigs (wallet is not tracked, just requires sign to post), but it is the only feasible way to limit botposters imo
thoughts /biz/raelis?

you would be the 8th I am aware of that does this and fails, if you actually make a board

I wanted to make a shitcoin to do this but also add other features as I already have a profitable crypto bot and other things that could benefit users.
Your idea is still flawed however as you need to be able to take something away from users that are banned. Make them not want to post shit they shouldn't by taking away their entry fee or some shit otherwise you'll end up with cp or gore all over the place.

bans could be enforced similarily to 4chan

Wouldn't this just allow "rich" people to spam as they please?

of all the imageboards and forums that worked after this principal they either drowned in cp and gore or had no users and maybe 4posts a day

the most successful image board I've seen hosted on crypto was ironically made by some anon and hosted on XRP. required no "staking" to post, but still died after low adoption.

Perhaps it's still going, I lost the name of it.

typically I'd agree with you, but shillfags like tate have recently proven why that would be detrimental to a board.

Bots aren’t posting here. You’re paranoid because you’re self-conscious about your limited ability to write well.

i personally made a massive amount of shitcoins during bull .. spamming biz did little to nothing (whereas twitter had great affect)
whether ppl on twitter r dumber or biz is poorer ... debatable.
i want to create the new medium for knowledge distribution while maintaining a crypto based system

any identity is a collection of information
at worst the alternate identity can be linked back to you, becoming an extension of you
at best the data points within the information collection can interfere with one another, someone can have a poor opinion on one topic and an interesting one on another, but the association of the two spoils both
Anonymity separates the art from the artist, and each piece of art from one another.
If a post is good it will survive on it's own merit, not on the ego of the poster.
anonymity kills authority
A wallet is an identity as is an account, once a wallet has a reputation people will either shun them as a pariah or praise them as a idol, people will have decided on their perception of their posts before they have even read them simply from the association of their identity

>xrp is all boomers
true, and it was pretty hilarious to see all the normies melt down about something so awful as allowing anonymous posters to be hosted on their precious blockchain.

but it required no XRP or wallet to post, it was just hosted on chain.

Use Kleros for moderation sir
>user makes a $30 deposit to be able to post
>if he breaks the rules, anyone can challenge his posts by making a $30 deposit of their own
>case is then sent to Kleros court where jurors vote on whether the rules were broken. Whoever loses, their $30 deposit is rewarded to the winning side
>if it's determined the user broke the rules, he loses his deposit and has to deposit another $30 to be able to post again
>users can take their deposit back if they go 1 day without posting (to give enough time for their posts to be challenged)
This way moderation requires little effort on your end since it's outsourced to the users themselves through monetary incentives, and they only lose their deposit if they actually break the rules.
